cheesystreet Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Is there ever an instance where the term "ask out (to lunch)" could just mean a normal friends hang out?
rocio Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 you mean like if I go to my workmate and say, "hey, i'd like to ask you out to lunch with me tomorrow"? yeah it can be friendly.
Edak Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Some dates are just friends hanging out, of course that not where you want to be in the future with her, but when you first meet, that's all you are, friends. I see what you could be getting at though, you might be worried if by asking the 'wrong way' you may be implying you only want to be friends. Don't worry about it, the first date is always a test/interview anyways. Decide where she stands after that, and of course isolating you and them from a group, along with showing interest and flirting, will make them get the idea. And in the case that you DO just want to remain friends, that's the easy scenario. Just be friendly, don't act any different around them than you would any other friend.
ghost69 Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 at work. or friends with free time. i wouldn't ask a stranger to lunch.
