yo yo it's me again, the hapless kid looking for some help. During this first semester of college, i've begun to come out of my shell (finally and almost 21 years old at that) enough so that i can talk to women who sit around me in class. Thing is, I notice that I come off as rude and boring when I talk to women with my one word replies and zero eye contact! It always seems to me that if i do look them in the eye, it feels like im trying to hypnotize them or something and it feels like im freaking them out! How do I speak more eloquently to people of the opposite sex and moreover how to break the ice with someone you just met (e.g. a pretty girl)?

Read to urself outloud so you can hear ur voice as you speak. Thats a good way to become more comfortable with your voice.

Being completely okay with meeting new people, is an excellent life skill to have. How could you do that? Join a social society. Or a club that interests you. These types of things have conversation packed into them.
