I know everyone has these sorts of things happen but with me it is too strange. I am constantly seeing something that reminds me of her. Not the usual things like a picture of someone that looks like her, but things like this:

 

I'll pick up the newspaper and open it to the middle of the paper and the very first thing my eyes land on is her name (either first or last)

 

I'll be watching an old movie and in the credits the first thing I see is her name

 

Rummaging through my woodworking stuff, I'll come accross some company that has her last name

 

I'll keep hearing her favorite phrase - it is what it is

 

It's not just a few things and I'm never looking for it. I suppose if I had never heard of her I would still be seeing those things but have no connection. Still - it is strange that it always happens when I least expect it and I never see it if I'm looking for it.

 

Does this happen to you guys?

Sure, it happens...

 

Someone had a deep effect on you and it has carried over into things you see, because she is still on your mind, I know it's hard.

 

So, we have to do the things necessary for closure, and work on that.

 

I see that sometimes closure warrants an apology...

 

Other times it needs telling someone off...

 

Other times, it's just taking a time for this pain to run it's course for awhile, lick your wounds and then get back in the game.

 

It is important to get back in, whether you find someone right away or not, it's important and can be very healing let me tell you.

 

Don't write yourself out of the picture, and let this one chapter define Samross.

 

Also, change your routine... explore another church, hang out in some new places, take some risks.

 

PM anytime if you want guy.

If it IS fate (which I really don't believe in but humor me please) - what is this telling us? Not to forget them? That there is a positive reason we keep seeing references to them?

 

That is the most interesting question of all!

 

I believe that it was FATE that brought him back to my door 19yrs later but I also feel that you do have a hand in your own destiny... sort of a mix of both... so maybe I played my hand wrong... FATE intervened but I screwed up?

 

Also without knowing EVERYTHING that is to come perhaps we are interpeting things wrong? Maybe it was FATE that brought him to my door and FATE why he left... maybe FATE wants me to do some deep soul searching before sending me on my next mission?

 

Do you ever just have one of those dreams that just stays with you? I had a couple when I was four that I will never forget... just left such an impact... weird?

 

So I was in junior high and I had this dream (I currently had a beau at the time... alas, the innocence of youth!) where I was on the school bus and I was dating the most wonderful guy and I felt loved and he would send me these amazing heart felt written notes. It was a vivid dream. His name was Mark and he had brown hair with blue/or green eyes. I told my friends and we all laughed and I was always looking for Mark! Okay, finally went on to high school... dated some... totally left the dream behind... then in college I met Mark!!!!! Brown hair, blue eyes and I kept the boxes of notes and letters he wrote to me for 20 some years!!!! The most interesting thing was that the whole time we were together I never remembered or thought of that jr high dream... it wasn't till years later after we broke up and I remembered it and it ALL made sense. I think FATE gave me a preview but it didn't come true until almost 8 years later.

 

So these little things we like to think of as FATE may truly take years to play out!

 

Nice story huh???? It really happened!!!

another thing along these same lines is the show Grey's Anatomy. She & I favor the main characters (especially my ex) but the really strange thing is it's their personal relationship in the show that parallels me & my ex so closely. It was our favorite show (still is mine although House is pushing it back to #2). We used to kid each other about it. She was my Meredith. I know this is stupid but I watch it every week to see if they will get together (Freud would love this). In some ways I feel like the world is watching me and her. I've always felt if there were a 'cheering section' they would be rooting for us to get back together. Anyway, I know, naive, stupid, immature, just in a lot of pain looking for relief. So if I find it in a soap opera, and it works, why not?

My ex and I are Ross and Rachel from friends!!! I keep telling myself that everything worked out in the end!!!!
