Hello and am new to site...Well, last night I was out Christmas shopping with my boyfriend who has shared living with his mother quite a few yrs now..she actually lives w/him..they are like roommates I guess..well I have been seeing him a yr now this next month..I have temporarily moved in with the 2 and I repeat temp...is going well, but of course I see things he never will because he has been w/her awhile...

Getting back to last night she tells him to get her underwear..so we are going to 3 different places cause she wants new drawers.(undies).and he has to get a certain kind or she won't wear them..black, nylon, u get the pic..and he wants me to do it because he is uncomfortable..I have only lived w/these 2 for a month and the more I am w/him the more irritated I get w/her..don't u think it is inappropriate for a mother to tell her 35 yr old son who is now in a serious relationship with me to go get her womens panties..gheeeesh!!!!

I mean, it sure seems to me she has substitued him as a husband figure..she has no man in her life and tells me she never wants one again....

And I don't know what else is going to come up..I feel bad for my BF

he's right in the middle..well we didn't find em..what she wanted..

he said mom I'm gonna get you a gift certificate so u can get what u want..

He said she has done this before and he has felt uncomfortable...

He's really not a mommas boy , I think she is too stuck on him..

I just try to ignore all this....UGH....

Yeah, so u feel the same way..made me disgusted in her..who does she think she is doing that in front of me knowing I am going out w/him Christmas shopping and all..it's beyond rude..I will just sit back and observe for a while..at least till I move out in a couple mo to my own place...

i just cant imagine anything so bizarre.

 

i'm trying to imagine if i said to my g/f "honey can you just pop into this shop for me and buy some knickers for my mum" what her reaction would be, but i can't even begin to guess. She would look at me with such a look of pure horror.

I have thought maybe she is having problems with him being in a serious relationship

...but still..I was thinking to myself...you have got to be kidding..and i started to get mad...but maybe that's what she wants..maybe she is one of those mothers she doesn't want him to be w/anyone so she cud have him ..that makes me sick..

I am not going to give her this happiness of me getting mad...

But i did ask myself what does she think he is.....her husband?????????????????

I agree that is very weird.

 

She will only treat him how he allows though.

 

He has to stand up and say no for it to end.

 

She very well could be using him to replace the male companionship she doesnt have in her life.

Thanks..yes, I agree that his mother is replacing what she does not have..if

only my boyfriend cud see this..sometimes u cannot see the forest from the trees....got any advise on how i shud handle this situation with his mother??

And he did say he's not going to look anymore for her underwear..and he is going to get her a gift certificate so she can get what she wants..

I don't see this ending anytime soon..
