You might all hate me for this, but here goes. This guy wasn't in to you, either because of another girl or something else he never bothered to mention. Be glad that he was honest and that he's out of your life... and yes it sucks that it was on your b-day, but would you rather he faked it, took you somewhere nice, bought you a gift, and waited until the next day to break the news? Either way, it's going to be hurtful. So look forward to a future without him, and happy birthday. Your present? One less douche bag in your life.
