vouge_idea Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 I don't know what to get my boyfriend for Christmas this year. Both him and I are a little low on money this year so we aren't going to be giving extravagant gifts of anything. So I need some ideas for some inexpensive gifts? He likes football & basketball. But I want to get him something meaningful yet practical. I don't want to get him something that will just sit there. I want to get him something he'll use. He is so dang difficult
RayKay Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 How about a couple tickets (if not to a pro game, maybe make a "event" of a college game or something) or a jersey (if he would wear it). I always find it hard to advise others what to get, as you really have to know the person to know what "fits" them. My sister's "default" gift for men she is dating is either a watch or cologne - something like that can work too.
Aurian Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Browse a bookstore for a good book on basketball or football? Can`t recommend any, I`m afraid - I read hockey books! A T-shirt his size with his favorite team's logo on it (as jerseys are expensive). Anything else he likes to do or always wanted to do? Like if he wanted to try out something, make a date to do so? Skiing lessons for two, cooking class, etc?
lana111 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 get him some t-shirt or sweatshirt from the link removed shop (i dont watch basketball but ill assume that link removed has the same). they have the coolest sports gear and other crap (blankets, mugs, pj's) and you dont have to spend a ton.
havefaith Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 The first bday that my boyfriend had while we were together, I had no clue what to get him. I decided to make him one of those fleece no-sew blankets where you tie it together -- he absolutely loved it, a little too much actually... 2+ years have gone by and he won't give the thing up. Sleeps with it every night, won't let me make him a new one. Every girlfriend I have suggested this to has gotten very great results... don't know what it is about boys and homemade blankets. They have really cool fleece fabric, like football and basketball team patterns.
