Another rough day.

Been a tough day today. My ex made an appointment yesterday to finish our separation agreement. We stared it in May 06.

 

She made the appointment for 12/13 - exactly 13 years to the day that we met.

 

It hurts.

 

I was doing great until last week when the calls and texts started coming through. Of course she was shmoozing me because I threatened to hold back 1/2 of the money I normally give her at the end of the month (Nov), in order to pay for her 1/2 of the Sep agrrement (which I did hold back).

 

I'm getting my own apartment...she could care less.

I'm taking the kids for X-mas day...she could care less.

When I get my place (Dec 22) I'm taking some stuff from her apartment....she could care less.

 

Last week I offered to sacrifice my own happiness, wants and needs in order to work things out with her...she could care less.

 

Why can't I see that she could care less.........I'm a moron.

if she could care less about you, then why don't you care a little more about yourself. you have your kids, they should be the joy of your life, spend more time with them, spend the time you spent arguing and feeling sorry for yourself, with them. the love of your children is true, and no matter what happens in life, they are the ones that will provide you with true and unconditional love. take care of yourself, i can't tell you i know what it's like because i don't, i was with my ex for 5yrs, but that's nothing compared to your situation. it's hard to see right now, but you'll be fine. ... oh yeah, you are not a moron, you're just HUMAN!

Thanks! I have an unbelievable relationship with my girls, they are #1 in my life.....but I still miss her something awful.

 

I know I'll get better....it may just take a little while.

What? You just got done typing that she could care less like 5 times. You can see that she cares less, but you just don't want to accept it -- that's part of the process. Keep reminding yourself of these insensitive things about her, and you will get there eventually.

Yeah, but we have all been there...

 

My friend says, just because my ex's feelings weren't real, does not mean that mine weren't valid. So, it IS hard to forget them, even though they have forgotten us and "could care less".
