I accidentally called him, heard his voice, hung up

I know you may think it wasn't an accident, but my best friend and my Ex's mobile numbers are very similar. I dialled him from a friends phone only to realise I had called him when I heard his voice. I am hearing his voice after a LONG TIME...so I just died. It was so soft, just like always, affectionate. I hungup the minute I recognised his voice.

Later I texted him from my cell sayign sorry I accidentally called, to which he replied, "Its alrite".....Two words, his first text to me in so many months!!

Ok -

It WAS a mistake plain and simple... you panicked but then you apologized.

He accepted your apology... THAT WAS VERY KIND OF HIM!!!

Now... don't read more into it than is there (trust me I've done that so you are not alone there!) Don't contact him again. It won't be an accident the next time and then he'll wonder if this was an accident.

It's happened to me - my phone lists number in alphabetical order according to first name... I have several people with the same first name as my ex listed. I hit his by mistake one time too - many many many months ago.... at a time when it was no big deal so I know it can happen.

Hang in there!

Can I make a suggestion .... delete his number. Will make any such accidents in the future impossible. Its a shame it has affected you so badly, I'm sorry to hear that.

The number was dialed from a friends phone, so I don't think that is the issue here (deleting it) and sometimes it isn't so easy to just "delete" numbers from your memory.

To the OP, i've had something similar happen and it was harsh! sorry it's affecting you so badly. I hope you're able to move past this soon! hugs!

Almost happened to me a few days ago. Called her cell phone by mistake, but I believe I hung up before the signal reached her phone and rang (it usually takes more than a couple seconds for a cell phone to react to your call). Close call in accidentally breaking NC.

When our brains are a flood of emotion, it's not surprising that this would happen.

Very good point I even read it was from someone else's phone And as for remembering numbers I'm lucky I remember no ones number.
