Well, I'm kinda caught with my pants down because I don't usually go on lunch dates. I helped out a new employee at work. Didn't really talk to her much and focused on my work, but when I did talk, I made a few humorous comments.

So that part went like clockwork..she likes me. Except that I didn't expect her to say "I gotta buy you lunch."

 

So it could be tomorrow, Saturday...does anyone have good ideas for questions to ask her within a 30 minute to hour time frame?

So far, it hasn't happened.

 

Also, what I'm trying to do is not do anything that can really screw this opportunity up.

 

First, a couple of days ago I playfully reminded her.

 

Today I didn't really talk to her that much partially because I was super busy and I didn't want to spoil things (which makes no sense unless you're me...I fear that I will say things or not say anything at all which makes a woman change her mind or lose interest)

I think that she was just saying it to say it. She didn't really intend to take you to lunch. If you do like this person then why not ask HER out to lunch ;-)

 

good advice. and if by chance she does buy the lunch, make sure to get some drinks (you can pay for those) to extend things and show you're not a mooch.

I'll ussually pay too, but I'd be kinda offended if she never returned the favor (assuming she could afford it). Its the same way when me and my buds go out, I'll grab dinner and drinks this time, another bud might get it next time, it all works out.
