xenothrope Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 I have been friends with this girl for about 4 months, and two weeks ago we started dating. She thinks love takes time while I am a hopeless romantic in my heart and believe in love at first sight but for her I am willing to take the time. The reason I am so sure I love her is kind of silly. She makes my brain stop thinking. I know its love because she makes me feel stupid. Perhaps I should Explain. I am overly intellectual to the point that I thought I could quantify love its self as compatible personalities, hormones and pheromones. I am highly creative and inquisitive so basically My brain never shuts up. She woke up my heart. Before her I never had faith, I believed in god but had to many questions to commit to religion. Her presense reminded me that somethings need to be taken on faith. The concepts of love and faith are so foreign to me that they only make sense when I am around her. I don't really know why I am posting this just had to get this off of my chest. You see I am also very unobtrusive but I just had to do something equivalent to shouting I LOVE THIS WOMAN !!
CandyKins Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 If it is not love what is it? Infatuation? Yes she is very right that loves takes time. Just take things nice and slow. Enjoy yourself with her!
melrich Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Yes it sounds like the infatuation stage to me. Have fun.
ADrifter Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 only dating for 2 wks and already in love? that was fast! maybe because that's your "first" love. did you tell her that you love her?
amtjrtcet Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Just take it day by day, I don't think I'd go expressing your undyinglove just yet, might freak her out a bit.
JeckyllNHyde Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Glad your willing to take the time with her. Be carefull not to be overly open about how infatuated she has you, it will make her pull away if your wayyy ahead of her with your feelings. Be rational, have fun but just try and contain your emotions a bit when expressing them to her. basically try and move at the same pace as her so she won't get uncomfy or run off. Good luck!
