Starting to get on my nerves!

Ok so my GF of over a year decided she didn't feel the same way about a month ago now and we called it quits. She graduated and lives a bit away from where i am now and is busy with new people etc fair enough, quite common when things go into a Long distance relationship. She still wants to be friends etc, fair enough as we inevitable would see each other, same friends etc. SHe has been doing the classic attention loving constant text messaging etc and giving me lots of mixed signals which is always helpful i've seen her a few times since and she has been wanting hugs etc. Anyway i am well aware she is just wanting comfort and attention when she is away and missing me etc but when we we have to see each other its awkward etc. Anway it is now a good few days of NC which is the longest since the breakup which is bloody hard but a welcome relief. I want to text her but know i shouldn't and I would get back with her but i am not someone who will pester,constantly text/beg, her decision down the line. however what is annoying me is there is an athletics formal ball soon which i'm going to. She said a while back she can't afford it and wouldn't be going(alumni of my college sometimes go), but now all of a sudden i hear she is coming to it....why? its getting to this point](*,)

I think women often do things that don't make sense to guys because guys think more efficiently. Guys have a feeling and go with it. Girls have 12 feelings and try to go with each one at the same time. One of the worst things a guy can do is to try and be on board to explore each different feeling the girl has. After that exercise the guy is usually left alone, bewildered, and in a worse place than he was before. Hopefully you won't be taken on any trips where you are not in control. Good luck.
