Is anything flirting for a guy?

In talking with my long time boy about flirting, he mentioned even if a girl is flipping her shoe on and off it can be considered flirting? Now i know some guys are into the feet thing but just relaxing dangling a heel is flirting???

What I find entertaing about flirting it that the smallest things can mean so much for someone. If you are really into that person, whatever they do, you will see that as a sign of flirting. If you're not interested, nothing they do will click. The human mind is amazing..

Some poeple see things and assume its flirting because its how they want to perceive it. The shoes thing is a bit too subtle though. I flick my shoes constantly and I'm certainly not flirting with everyone. LOL

I think when it comes to the shoe thing, what you have are a bunch of inexperienced guys, still wet behind the ears as far as their dating life goes, and they're desperately searching for a way to know if a female is interested in them before they take a risk and put themselves on the line.

 

So they dig up this material about how if she dangles her shoe this way it's flirting, or if she touches her collarbone that way it's flirting... Then while the MOTIVATION behind these gestures is probably valid, they apply it WAY too literally. That's when you see ENA posts titled "Girl accross the room dangled her shoe and touched her collarbone... Does she like me?" And of course the answer to that post is, well YES... Or she was simply bored/tired feet and had an itch from the collar of her blouse.

I think it's codswallop! I am sure I do loads of things that some people on here have said can mean you are flirting, but they're not. I read someone say that dropping a pencil is flirting. What the fk!? Seriously! I think things like this are only flirting if the girl actually says something flirty at the same time or really does it in a provocative manner on purpose. I think if it is meant flirtily she will make damn sure you KNOW it's a flirt. Like she will lick her lips and wink while dangling her shoe! LOL. But some people do things like dangle shoes just because they're bored and it's a habit. It can mean absolutely nothing.

Ha! I don't think I'd ever consider a woman flicking her shoe on and off flirting.

 

I agree with capbit that if someone likes you then they may take anything you do as some sort of sign that you're flirting with them.

she's airing out her foot or just keeping her foot busy. sometimes a girl moving her shoe off and on in a flipping movement can mean she is bored. depends on the girl.
