JadedStar Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Trying to be positive is not easy. I'm going out for a walk, and maybe watch the sun set over the ocean. That usually cheers me up. No, it's not easy. But Ren, you HAVe been making strides tho. In the right direction. And MAN, i'd love to be able to just go out for a walk and watch the sunset over the ocean. I am way jealous over that!
Miss Firecracker Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Just think, Ren. You could live in Tennessee. Can I come stay with you for a week?

Miss Firecracker Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 When we get depressed we go to Walmart and Target.
JadedStar Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 When we get depressed we go to Walmart and Target. OR Lowes. I like power tools. LOL
renaissancewoman101 Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 You guys sound like you live in the Midwest. When I lived in Wisconsin, the winters used to depress me terribly. I ended up going down by the beach area and walking on a bike trail in the semi-dark. It's amazing how many people go walking at night. It was fun and it helped me think.
renaissancewoman101 Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 Just think, Ren. You could live in Tennessee. Can I come stay with you for a week? You guys are always welcome to come out and visit me. There's lots to do out here and the weather's always good.
Miss Firecracker Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I was right there where you are in February, only I had no idea then that is where you lived. We went to San Diego and stayed in Old Town at the Courtyard, Marriott. We ate at a Mexican restaurant. I can't believe I forgot the name of it, but they have ladies in the front windows making homemade tortillas all day. The food was GREAT there. And I forced my husband to drive into Hollywood one evening. But I didn't really like it once I got there. I liked Old Town San Diego a lot better. It's laid back.

It's called the Old Town Mexican Cafe and the food is very good there. And watching the ladies make the tortillas is cool. I've been there about 4 times, with friends, my mother, etc. I actually live very close to downtown San Diego. I went walking around Mission Bay this evening. There's a lot of bike trails down there and there's a lot of people walking even when it gets dark.
Miss Firecracker Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I remember being amazed to walk around at night in February and not be cold. There was one restaurant in that area where we ate outside at night. They had these flaming heaters on the sidewalk, but I told them to turn ours off. It was blazing on that sidewalk. Humidity was VERY low. I liked that part the best. The first morning we woke up in the hotel, my husband fell out of the bathtub and landed on the toilet so hard that he cracked it, and it came out of the floor. Then we couldn't get dressed until a repairman came to install a brand new one. That was my most vivid memory of our San Diego trip. I wish I had thought to take a photo of that.

The dry heat out here is great, esp for my asthma issues. I used to get really sick in the humid summers out in Wisconsin. There really is so much to do out here. I just wish I had someone to share in it with.
renaissancewoman101 Posted October 5, 2007 Author Posted October 5, 2007 he texted me AGAIN this morning telling me he missed me and wanted to go out for dinner tonight. Whatever!
Miss Firecracker Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Gosh, how do you know that message was for you, Ren?
