dtgrl812 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I am not sure where to post this topic. My SO and I work at the same place. I have been there a whole lot longer. He wants to have a party and invite a bunch of people from work.... most of which I deal w/ at work and have no desire to see out of work. A couple of the people I know get loud when they get drunk...I told him this and he seemed to understand....am i being unreasonable? I know I am a bad person to say separate work and personal life (since i am seeing a co-worker).... but most of these people I do not want to hang out w/ out of work.
afrodave Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I wouldn't say thats unreasonable at all. Bad things can happen when you mix work with personal life and you have to live with those things (good or bad) everyday of your life at work and at home. It's better to keep them separate in my opinion.
ghost69 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 i don't mix work and pleasure. too many bad things can happen.
amtjrtcet Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I don't think its a good idea either. I only have a handful of coworkers now, but I use to work for this large corp. The company held a huge Christmas party every yr, where they rented out the entire Sheraton Hotel. Anyway, too many people made complete fools of themselves and it would cause sooo much drama back at the office. Its best to keep it professional with your coworkers.
