I hate my job.

As the title says, I hate my job. And, it's not even a bad job. It's probably one of the best jobs I'm ever going to get. At my job, we can goof off sometimes and I'm not required to work too hard, so it's not as bad as assembly line work at a factory or something. But, still I hate it.

I've tried to get other jobs in fields that interest me, but they never call me back. My job now pays better than most jobs around here anyway, so at least I can pay my bills and pay for groceries and things and still have money to save. But, I still hate it.

I just don't like having to get up at 4:30 in the morning, driving for an hour to get to work, working for 8 hours with really annoying people, and then driving all the way home. I don't think I'll be happy until I have no job at all, but that's not going to happen. I'm playing the lottery, hoping a miracle will happen, but I have to be realistic; I will never win the lottery and I'm going to be working at some dumb job like this for the rest of my life.

Some people have good attitudes about their jobs and working, even if it's not something they are really interested in. But, I just can't feel happy about having to work. What should I do to feel good about working at my dead-end job?

if you're not happy, you shouldn't stay. simple. what's the point of life if we have to spend every day miserable? especially if there's something you can do to change it. you're staying because of practical reasons, the idea that you "should" be happy. but... you're not. it doesn't matter WHY you aren't happy, you're just not.

keep sending out that resume in feilds that interest you. it will make you feel happier that, at the very least, you're working towards something you want to do long term.

I'm not entirely sure that getting a new job will really change how I feel. I think I don't really mind the job I have too much, but what I hate is just having to work in the first place. (Though, getting a new job would help to eliminate having to deal with annoying idiots all day, so it's probably a good idea.)

Some people really don't mind having to work too much. They may enjoy their job, or they may just deal with it. But, I dread having to leave my house and work everyday. (Actually, I don't really like leaving my house much at all.) I've talked to people that don't mind getting up everyday and going to work and I'm just curious on how to get that kind of feeling in my life. I want to be happy with going to work, no matter where it is.

My ex was the same as you. He discovered that the reason he felt like this is because it felt like a waste of time to him. He wasn't getting anything out of these jobs besides money.

What he NEEDED {and finally learned} was a job that was related to, and will help him towards, his future carreer. For example.. he wants to own a restaurant. Is very interested in it. So he started taking management and business classes, and even some cooking classes, and then got jobs in those related feilds. It was much easier for him to wake up in the morning because he felt like he was actually getting something useful out of the day.

Hey! I hate my job too, but Im going to use it as a stepping stone into what I really want to do. What do you want to do? What are you interested in? Maybe you can study something or do a quick course.

If your not happy with one aspect in your life, change it, you have the power you just need to use it!

Goodluck
