What to do?

I was on the phone with this guy. He told me he needed to get off the phone as he needed to go get food and promised to call back in 15min. Right now, he is visiting his family. He never called back yesterday and not today either. I am getting frustrated because I don't like getting blown off. I am friends with his family so I tried calling them too, and telling them I need to get ahold of him. This is their cell phones and they aren't answering. They normally always answer, so he is ignoring me and they are too. We get along just fine, so I don't get this.

 

I am the type of person who doesn't tolerate this, I usually just tell people what's on my mind, but I can't because no one will answer from his family or himself.

I'm confused...are you romantically involved with this guy? Or are you just very close friends? What is your relationship with him, and why are you so freaked out that he hasn't called that you are calling his cell phone and the cell phones of his family members repeatedly?

 

I only ask because I've often had friends get really busy with family matters all of a sudden and not call me back for a while, especially if the conversation we were having on the phone previously was just an idle conversation. I just don't see why you are getting so frantic about it, and why you think he has any reason to be ignoring you deliberately.

How do you know that there wasn't some sort of family emergency that had to be taken care of?

No, basically I am the idiot, that's what it boils down to.

 

I started talking to my ex again, after not talking forever, and he provides what a great man he is.

 

His sister called me and said he was just hanging around her house, meaning he chose not to talk to me.

 

I feel so stupid, oh well, what's new. I never learn.
