Bit of a dilemma

Hi all,

 

Myself and my ex broke up a couple of years ago and although some contact was kept for roughly the first year I was strung along and messed around a lot during that time and decided enough was enough and stopped all contact and responding to her.

 

When we were together we bought a Cat (Balou) although this was seen as her Cat when we split I kept it as I am better with animals and was more settled at the time.

 

My dilemma now is that although the cat is not yet 4 it seems to have developed some form of neurological problem (tumor or Infection) as is currently at the vets and the prognosis is not looking good.

 

Should I contact the ex and let her know this situation so she can say goodbye to Balou if it comes to that or should I not bother. What would you guys do?

If she has not seen the cat in over a year I would not tell her. No need to put either of you through that.
