MadGenius
Sometimes you run out of things to talk about. Nothing out of the ordinary happened that you want to talk about, all pressing matters are out of the way. If you've been talking for a couple hours a day, you're just out of things to say. No big deal. I could never talk to someone every day. Not enough happens that needs to be talked about. Link to comment
nuttybuddy
I just already discussed this topic in a thread I started: Link to comment
mintblossom
So it's okay to just pull back and give each other some space right? Link to comment
MadGenius
Yeah! Call him back in two days and see how his vacation is going. It's not like your leaving him. Link to comment
Miss Firecracker
I talk to my husband maybe 5 minutes at a time while he is on the road. We may talk 3 or 4 times a day sometimes. If something exciting is happening, more than that. You will burn yourself completely out trying to stay on the phone that much. I don't care who it's with or how crazy you are about them. I mean, there are so many things to get done in a day. It's just too demanding of your time. Well, that's my two cents. Link to comment

Or if you want to keep in contact everyday, text each other or call for a few minutes to say hello. No need to talk for hours everyday, that can get pretty boring and exhausting, its unecessary. Maybe here and there those conversations are okay, but for the most part...brief and sweet. Link to comment
Tezza
Cool, glad to know that that is ok... Sometimes I think that there is just not enough similar interests there, or chemistry, and get a bit sadden by the silences... Link to comment
ghost69
well, i hate the phone. anything over 5 minutes is too long for me. i don't have to talk to my gf everyday. Link to comment
fmjosie
I just read a letter I had written to an ex of mine, he was upset because I had nothing to say on the phone when he had been away for awhile. Anyway, I had explained to him that it wasn't because I was bored or had nothing to say at all.... but just that I was missing him and wished I could talk with him in person. My silences were comfortable silences and I wasn't upset or anything like that. Link to comment
