Hellozz!! This is Michell, a recent graduate in electrical engineering. I have recently shifted from Chicago to New York and I’m a bit nervous about finding a good job here. Plz inform me about this particular site, link removed. The site was bragging a lot about itself, “we provide more engineering jobs than any other site”, blah… blah…blah…

 

Let me know if the site is worth registering. I badly need a good job!!

if you needed a job that badly you'd register at every single site there is and trowel through their spam email they'll send you every day till you get a job.

 

I'd suggest creating a second email address specifically for this, because some refuse/forget to take you off their mail-lists.

 

That's just my personal opinion though.

another thing to do is pick the company you want. Then show up at their door with a resume and ask for an appointment with their HR person. Fresh out of college I didn't have much luck with resume sites, but I got hired real quick when I started taking a direct approach. Plus then you'll feel more like you picked them vs them picking you, which means you got the power.

Hi! Welcome to New York! You should not worry about getting a job in New York. It’s full of opportunities. Just one thing I’m not sure about…if you will be able to get a job of your expectations.

 

I recently registered on engineeringcrossing and have applied to various jobs. My fingers are crossed. However, I’m regularly receiving job alerts and weekly newsletters that keep me informed on latest developments in the engineering sector. I think the site is helping me.
