I probably talk to my guy 4-5 times a week.

It depends but I think we also talk about 4/5 times a week, most of the time through messenger. Once or twice a week by phone. For me it's perfect.

My SO works away from home 3 days of the week so during that time we're constantly calling and texting each other. The rest of the time we live together. Before he moved in we used to talk every day via phone and text.

My sweetie and I talk usually every day. sometimes it's not practical and we miss out on a day or two in a week, but usually it's pretty consistent.

It's so important to keep up communication, or it just doesn't work!

We have short calls daily and one long call almost every night. Before he started working longer hours we used to talk 3 hours daily; now we try to make the best of the hour or so we have for ourselves.

 

Anyone tried falling asleep together when on the phone or Skype? It is a real comfort when you're apart for so long.

I normally get at least an email everyday and then he calls me 2-3 times a week for a reasonanble amount of time rather than a little each day when you would have time to talk and like on sunday he rang me twice because he missed me and we on the phone an hour that day - bless him. When it was easier to call and stuff when he was in the country we used to texted a lot and speak every other day and i'd see him on most weekends I am happy with what i have now but bring on november Xx

Well maybe you are talking less because you have the chance to do things together now that you are with one another. That is, activities and not conversations alone.

 

I'll definitely miss the talking once we're together But I'll have the other good stuff for sure.

We talk or webcam every 2/3 days, with emails and texts in between. We'd both be in big trouble if we phoned several times a day from our workplaces though, and never get any work done! You lot are lucky getting away with it!

 

I don't find it very hard leaving days when I don't speak to him - it gives me more to tell him about. The LDR is way easier than I expected and we both agree it feels like just a small phase in our relationship. I think it'll get harder for me when it's winter and I have less to do though.

instant message with web cams 3-5 times a week for hours at a time. Lately with school and stuff I have been really tired and going to bed early so I have missed him a few too many times. I ran out of minutes on my international calling card and need to get a new one. I am interested in this SKYPE thing. I'll have to check it out.

The Skype thing is the best thing ever. Me and my fiance rarely use phones after having discovered skype. It's free and it feels as if he is right next to you, way better than phones. You can actually hear him breathe...
