  1. Thanks, Batya. I hope you & your family are doing well too.
  2. Businesses that are taking advantage & price gouging following the WHO declaring the Coronavirus a pandemic.
  3. I was laughing at this too, reinvent! So funny. Sounds like a Seinfeld episode. Lol
  4. I can relate to your work experiences on so many levels, Jibralta. Don't get me wrong. I've had some amazing managers and I sing their praises. But the bad were oh so bad. What I noticed though is that my best managers loved their jobs, where the worst managers absolutely detested their positions. Are you applying for other jobs at the moment? Will be interesting when you hear from that Bill you worked for previously and whether or not their job offer is something that appeals to you. I think it's safe to say that I was pretty naïve when I first entered the workforce after my schooling. At first I for whatever reason assumed that my employer would always have my back, but man, did they prove me otherwise. It's like being in a one-sided relationship. All give, with nowhere near the same level of reciprocity. The things I've seen, heard....ugh. But being that they're the employer, they basically always have the upper-hand. We're kind of at their mercy; unless of course we're independently wealthy and have no worries about losing our jobs and income. I'm definitely looking out for myself more nowadays. I know your end goal is to one day work for yourself, though, so good on you!
  5. Yes, pippy! It's clear why the show lasted as long as it did - the writers and actors are superb! I have laughed out loud so many times. Buuuuuut, I don't have access to all of the seasons, so I know I'm going to be experiencing TBBT withdrawals. Once season 8 is done, that's it. I feel swindled! Gosh I love their characters, though - what a group. I wish I had a Sheldon and Leonard that lived across the hall from me. Lol.
  6. The Big Bang Theory. I realize this show has been on since approx 2007, but I’ve never really watched it before. Jim Parsons is made for the role of Sheldon Cooper. Binged watched some episodes on the weekend.
  7. Good on you for putting yourself out there & making the effort. Not everyone has the cahoonas to do something like this. No risk, no reward...
  8. Lol. It always feels nice to be understood! Thanks, dias! :)
  9. I watched this video while munching on pizza & wings. Needless to say, I felt a bit guilty. Lol
  10. Thanks, Jibralta! I can relate to your costume choice. Was never one to gravitate towards princess costumes or more girly things when I was younger. I despised dresses and would inherit a lot of my older brothers clothes/costumes - including a spider man costume at Halloween, which I was completely okay with. Lol
  11. Great pic of you, Jibralta. It's funny, as I read through some of the journals & posts on ENA, I tend to envision which each person looks like - like a character in a novel. So it's always interesting when we get a glimpse of the faces behind the journals/threads.
  12. I've noticed that because some people acknowledge and admit to acting like a jerk, they think this gives them a green light to continue acting like a jerk. They admit to feeling bad about it, yet they continue doing it? Just don't do it in the first place. Sheeesh.
  13. I'm blown away by how much Charlize Theron resembles Megyn Kelly in this movie trailer for Bomshell. Seems like her body language and even mannerisms are on point, too. I saw the movie poster and trailer and had no idea it was Charlize. Mind is blown... Well done to the makeup artist for the makeup/prosthetics... I'm no movie buff, as I rarely, if ever, watch movies, but for some reason I was fascinated when I saw this trailer. Does this mean I have to get out more? lol *shrugs*
  14. Why is it that on mornings when I can sleep in, I can't. And when I can't sleep in, all I want to do is sleep...
  15. Looks like you're a natural, Jibralta. I love seeing other people's artwork. I've been wanting to get back into painting for years now, and seeing this inspires me. Hoping you post more of your paintings/art. Would luv to see them!
  16. I was actually going to post this clip on here! It’s one of my favorites from Friends. Rachel - “Phoebes, who’s George Snuffleupagus?” Phoebes “Big Bird’s friend”. Lol. Priceless. And don’t get me started on the episode where Ross plays his “music”. Another fave... I’ll have to upload that scene later since I’m on my phone now.
  17. People on the subway who put a bag on the seat next to them to deter people from sitting down, or the classic move, where someone sits in the aisle seat and they don’t shift their arse to the inside or adjoining seat in hopes of no one sitting next to them so they can enjoy both seats for themselves. And it doesn’t matter how busy the subway is - blows my mind. Some people have a lot of gall. Or, and this is a given, people who won’t get up and offer their seat to pregnant women, the elderly, disabled or parents with children & strollers...
  18. If by chance you are buying/giving this friend a bday gift, may I suggest chocolate coins. Lol.
  19. She isn’t serious, is she? Is this the same person who was asking you for handouts?
  20. I’m surprised that employers are allowed to terminate her to the extent that they have, considering her medical issues. I’m not sure what the employment laws are where you live, but I’m wondering if these employers should be accommodating her and her medical issues, rather than terminating her employment. I can’t begin to imagine what she’s going through. I hope she has a strong support system in her friends & family.
  21. Jeez, they sound like quite the catch (🤡). 🙄😏
  22. When it comes to online dating, some men who message and are old enough to be my dad or grandpa (and some are too young!) Guess stating age restrictions doesn’t mean anything to some. Seriously, I’m grossed out
