Only until Valentines...when I will break the fast (so to speak) with baked stuffed lobsters and champagne! Have lost 9 lbs in Jan and hoping for 3.5 more by then!!! Meanwhile, I am as cranky as a two year old!

I was single for about 8 years in my 40s and perfectly happy with my life...when "he" showed up. It had been a long time since I had lived with someone or had to consider any other interest but my own. Speed bumps...sure. But the journey is more fun with a partner. Worth remembering how to compromise.

I pay almost $800/monthly for insurance and have a $2000 IN network deductible and $4000 OUT of network. What? I'll be damned if the idiots who manage my insurance are going to tell me who I can and cannot see when I live in a state that has the top medical facilities available. So...somehow I am responsible for the first $10k of any bills? ?

I do love that about our spinach! And I think you are right on food costs here --- our entire interior of the USA is farm country and what we don't grow we import from Mexico without much in additional shipping costs.

We pay that for FFE's in America (farm fresh eggs). Whole Foods gets their eggs from egg farms in the Midwest.
