  1. Ex's do come back. If htey don't gather up the courage, they certainly ponder about it. If you take them back, that's another issue! I never took mine back and I'm so proud I didn't, after 1 year of NC! So grateful to by best friend who 'nursed' me and kept me out of his radar or out of temptation to go back with him, as if I met him after a month or two after sepatation, I may have goneback with him. But after a year, he gathered up the b*lls to ask me back and tell me to contact him at any point in his life, if I want him, no matter what. Yeah, how great is that, he may be with a new girl, and he gave me green light to interfere... ANyway,. they do come back. Hell, I was a dumper and I went back too inthe past...
  2. good job markyspark getting back together its possible cos people heal after the relationship, forget the past toxicity and therefore they either 1. possibly have rose tinted glasses 2. have no rose tinted glasses, recognise thier past shortcominngs and their ex's, and are willing to work around them I personally though wouldnt take an ex back because they declared their intention to re-start romantic endeavours. I would at best accept to be on pleasant polite terms with someone i knew beter before. But that can turn into some big messy business. Couples experience huge setbacks together and if they manage to stick together , they will become stronger and they are indeed compatible parts of an unit. If they break up, that shows that one part was definitely not good enough for the other part.
  3. I think it's possible people can get back together, but the process has a fragile dynamic as it depends on a few factors that are left to chance that have to happen all, together: 1. dumper realises mistake, becomes a new person, and fully intends with all his/her might to fix things up 2. the dumpee heals, moves on, becomes a 'new' person themselves, but still have a soft spot or strong feelings for ex. 3. the dumpee is willing to risk it all again getting back together 4. the reconciliation and NEW relationship is approached with caution and lots of reflection by both parts 5. both parts are as positive as possible about the reconciliation. A high toll, but not inpossible!!
  4. Te-hee that's so true. Maybe there should also be a positive thread celebrating 'yayy I'm over my ex and that toxicity and thank god I escaped so swiftly without complications such as long lost years, babies, outrageous compromises!!'
  5. Well for my input, my ex came back begging but me and my fiance shushed him away lol. There was a time when I was living for him to come back. BUt hey-ho, he did eventually lol.
