Once I sense the silence is coming, I just wrap the conversation up and end it. It's no big deal if I'm talking to another guy on the phone, but if it's a girl I'll just say I have to go or something lame. I don't think you're going to hurt anyones feelings if you want to put the phone down since you don't want to get stuck in a one way conversation. Besides you can use it as leverage to meet up in person if they really want to talk to you.

Man up already. She's got a boyfriend and chances are she's not going to break up with the guy to be with you. You already sound like you're getting attached. There's definitly some sexual tension and non-verbal flirting going on with a girl I work with that's already got a boyfriend. But, I just have fun with it and we both get to boost our egos. Just use her as practice and avoid any friendzone traps, so if she does break up with her guy she'll know whats up.

Was looking for some advice on how I could go about talking to a girl at my campus's gym.
