    IMHO, there is no such thing as fate. The thing is that world is built using too many variables for humans to track them and since they don't know all of them it's impossible to explain them - that's why they called this - a fate. The same was with how religions started to exist - people were unable to explain what was happening so it must have been the "act of god(s)".

    Kyo, one more thing - from my experience - it might be different in other parts of the world: 90% of the girls will ditch you as soon as they see you if you're ugly - I know it, I went through it myself. From that 10 % left, 5% will just want to play with you for a while (have nothing better to do in their life), 3% will be crazy, but those 2% will rock your world, believe me. Okie

    Here is the big difference - good looking guys attarct girls by using their looks and only thing they need to do is back it up with something to keep them. Ugly guys like you and me have to do much more work first to attract the girls and if that happens, to keep them. Kyo, I am ugly but had 2 really good looking girlfrineds (one for 4 years and other a lot shorter). Syrix can tell you that they were really good looking ones. The thing is that I've never ever saw any girl instantly attracted to me by my looks. It always need a lot more effort getting to know them without "dating" - just friends and later you might get a shot to build on that friendship if possible. That is the way how it goes. And no, I'm not shy - I can approach any girl I'm interested in but because I'm not really attracted to looks, I never do that because if she looks pretty it does not mean she is attractive to me.

    Well, what Kyo says is a fact. I didn't want to join this rant but some responses are pissing me off a bit so I will respond. Let's take my cousin here in the play who is really good looking guy. He never had any problems getting girls, even his wife approached him. She is good looking, funny, smart and really good person. And he? He is a good looking guy; a guy that flunked out of high school because he's too stupid to finish it; a guy that can't keep the job for more than 6 months because he's lazy. When he is at home he just watches tv, never does anything. She is the one that earnes money and brings food to the table. OMG, he even farts when having dinner no matter if other people are around. So, he is "zero" except being good looking and he gets super-great-wife with no sweat at all. That is the only quality he has and seems that is the most important one. So guys, seems all other of us are pretty doomed but not sure if giving up is a choice....I've never been a quitter so I won't quit now also..

    I would really like to comment on this - I am ugly but I have a really beautiful and really smart girl. I don't base myself on my looks, I have different things that make me important so even if I'm ugly that does not define me. So, work on your strong sides (and you do have some for sure) and things will be just fine....

    Hi Venga, I totally understand what you ment by this post. I'm going through it for more than a year now and I even thing I'm stupid for not giving up but I'm still trying even if things are actually not getting better. It must get better sometime, don't you think? It can't be just all bad for us. Let's just keep trying...

    I don't believe that dreams mean anything. It's just your brain processing some stuff you're not processing while awake. I still dream about my ex sometimes and it's been almost 8 months so I think there is no rule when you should stop dreaming about her or that it has any real meaning. It's just that you didn't forgot her...

    Hi all! I have a big problem - I'm a guitar player (no, that is not the problem ) and the thing is that my fingernails are breaking every time they are longer than 3 milimeters over the finger. I need them a bit longer for playing. What can I do to protect nails from breaking? Okie

    I'm sure I would not - that would show to ex that he/she can do it again and again and will have me waiting for them whatever happens. It's a sure way to hell.
