Hello, Me and my wifes anniversary is on the same day as one of my neice/nephews birthday. I already have plans for our anniversary.. nothing huge but we have not had any time to do anything ourselves and wanted to use this day for just us. What is the etiquette on something like this. I feel bad if I tell them we cant make it as its our anniversary. I would like to go to the birthday and try to do our anniversary on another day but my wife got pretty upset when I mentioned that. I am kinda wondering what is the etiquette on this as I cant make everyone happy. Thanks

Hello, I have really been struggling with finances since we had our first child. The wife is a stay at home mom so we only have one income. I can barley make ends meet. I have been running up the old Visa way too high. I need to get a grip on what we spend our money on and start a budget. Does anyone have any ideas what the best way is to track how much money is coming in and how much is going out. Also, I was thinking of picking up a financial application like Quicken or Microsoft Money. Has anyone used any of these types of software? Thanks in advance.

This position is not with the Gov. and is not handeling anyones finances. So I should be correct by saying they are probably looking at any criminal history and not that I lived in one location and had my mailing address another (moms house) correct?

I have no criminal history or credit issues. Just the issue of living at one address and using another for all of my mail. They already conducted the ref. checks and stated that they went very well.

I recently was offered and accepted a new job. The job is contingent on a background check. Does anyone know how a background check works and what they actually look for? When I lived at my previous address I used my mothers address for all of my mail and my drivers license address, not the address that I actually lived at. When I filled out the background check form I put the address that I actually lived at not the one that the state and federal gov thought I lived at. Is this an issue or do they generally just look to see if you have any criminal history. Or is this something that if they would come back and ask why I used another address? There is no real reason for me not using my actual address for my mail I just never changed the address and would just go to my moms house to pick up my mail.

Well, I sent a thank you email to the person who interviewed me on Tuesday. All the emails that I received from the people at this co. were first name last name then the co name. So I am assuming that its the same for the hiring manager. I didn't receive a delivery problem notification so I guess it got to his inbox. I will give it a little while and if I don't hear anything by the end of next week Ill give them a call.

The interviewer just asked when I would be available (2 weeks) and at the end stated that I should be hearing from them soon.

Hello, I recently had a job interview for a position I would really like to have and at a company I would rally like to work at. Its been 3 days since the interview and I have not heard anything. I thought the interview went very well. My questions is how long do you wait until you start thinking they are filling the position with someone else. Also I would like to send a thank you letter for the interview but I do not know the email address if the hiring manager that gave me the interview. I do have the HR rep who contacted me about the position. Any suggestions?
