  1. I do the same. It's a great way to sneak more protein into your diet and flavor pancakes without using sugar.
  2. Hi and wecome to enotalone. I moved this thread to the Poety forum, since it appears to me more of an artistic form of self-expression, and rather than a post looking for advice. Cool metaphor by the way. BellaDonna
  3. I am so sorry to hear that. It's a shame that her killer has not been brought to justice yet, and that her family and friends can't get a tiny bit of closure from justice.
  4. Hi. I am glad that you found happiness. Thanks for the update!
  5. If I were you, I'd call them out on it. Send them a message and let them know that you're the author of the poem and that they can either a.) credit you for it , or B). Have to take it off their page I bet they would be quite surprised and they would listen.
  6. Even though this thread started in 2003, I feel the need to voice my opinion regarding good ole' "Hooters" If you've ever been to Hooters- you will see what a totally silly place it is. It's all about marketing. It's funny to watch groups of overly motivated men (usually very young ones- walk in with such vigor) I've been there many times and I've never found anything overly-scandelous about it. The outfits the waitresses wear are no different than outfits you could see in a nightclub or from someone who likes to dress in a revealing manner, walking down the street on a hot summer day. I've seen worse outfits worn by teenagers in the mall. I find the whole thing quite amusing. It's even funnier when the waitresses sit down at a guy's table and pretend they like talking to him and make him feel warm and fuzzy inside, in order to keep him buying drinks. Most of the waitresses do not even have "big boobs" I think Hooters has THE BEST chicken wings and chili ever, and the best environment to laugh at when you see groups of men who think they are doing something so "naughty" or "cool" by eating there. It's fun to watch the naive little young guys feel special because some girl in shorts had to talk to them to take their order. It's also funny to watch the some of the older men who tend to look at waitresses butt's as they walk away, like hopeless lonely creatures from a National Geographic program. My husband and I have sat at Hooters and watched and laughed about this many times. It's like one big psychological experiment there. I love the food at Hooters and I've never minded going there. I see it as a humorous place where women in shorts and sleeveless shirts manipulate gullible customers. The guys who are smart really do go there for the chicken wings, they don't act jolly, overly happy, or be-dazzled because a woman simply talked to them. They are indifferent to the waitresses, and they keep a close eye on their wallets. You can tell who the smart ones are right away. BellaDonna
  7. Just an FYI: This thread is about 2 years old. Hopefully the Original Poster has reached some kind of resolution by now.
  8. Hi. This has got to be one of the most unique/original poems I've seen in a while. I liked it.
  9. LOL. Yeah, I'm not sure if people realized that this post is from 9/2006.
  10. The OP already reported this to the authorities a long time (years) ago. She just came back recently to update us and let us know she is doing better.
  11. I'm so glad to hear it. I always wondered what happened to you. Thanks so much for updating us. BellaDonna
  12. When I was on the pill that would happen to me once in a while. I would always take a pregnancy test out of paranoia, just to be sure- but I was always fine.
  13. Spugley Fuglet and Iceman26 are also going to be new dads. As for my due date- I'd fit in between MyTeddyBear and Ash. Mid august. It's not in stone though- since it's going to be an elective c-section my doc will re-assess as it draws closer. BellaDonna
  14. Hi. Thanks for providing an update. You sound like you're in a much better place emotionally. I am glad that you were able to seek help. Excellant! BellaDonna
  15. Anna, from what you have described I think it's time to see the doctor again. I know you said that they did not find anything last time- but maybe since you're having such extreme symptoms today they will be able to determine something. If I were you, I'd refrain from sex until you get checked out, and call today. I consider this an emergency. BellaDonna
  16. I was just wondering: Has this situation with the dog gotten any better? BellaDonna
  17. Thread is over 2 years old. See recent posts from the OP. I believe they since divorced and moved on, BellaDonna
  18. How are you doing through all of this?
  19. Just a note: this post is over 2 years old. I'm not sure if the OP will return to see recent responses. BellaDonna
  20. Hi again- I had responded to your other thread about your BF cheating and just noticed this one right now. After reading thins one I am convinced more than ever that your best bet is to break up with him and give yourself a chance to be happy in life. BellaDonna
  21. You are more likely to get a false negative if you take the test BEFORE the date your period is due. In that case, you may be pregnant yet there might not be anough HcG in your urine to be detected. The early response tests are not all that accurate- they become much more accurate once you miss a period. If you've already missed your period and 3 tests have said "nagative" it would be very unlikely for you to be pregnant. By the time your period is missed there should be enough HcG to be detected. I think it's good that you contacted the doctor though- just to be on the safe side. Some tests recommend using the first urine in the morning, which is more concentrated- however it should not effect your results too much. If you were testing before the date of your missed period, it would be better to use the more concentrated urine in order to reduce the risk of a false negative (there would be more HcG in your morning urine so it would more likely be detected). When I became pregnant- I took an early response test 2 days before my period was due and it came out negative. I only got a positive result 2 days later, when my period was supposed to be due. I think the early response tests can be a waste of money because they just cause you to have to buy more tests. I think it's best to wait until your period is actually due/missed- because your results are much more accurate then. BellaDonna
  22. It's major surgery. But for me the benefits outweigh the costs. I think each woman's birth plan needs to be well thought out with the woman, her doctor/midwife, and her partner (if he's involved). Some women would do anything to avoid a c-section whereas others want it as their only option. As long as you're confident in your birth plan and have researched it thoroughly, that's all that matters. I think it's important that a woman be given choices when it comes to a birth plan. 23. Glad to hear it. You must be relieved.... BellaDonna
  24. I've seen the site before too. It is legit. I just always find it a bit strange that they can only give away free mammograms if people "click"....why not give them away just for the sake of it? Oh well, clicking is easy enough I guess....but again I find the concept of "having to click" odd. It all comes down to the sponsers I guess- BellaDonna
