  1. I went on a first date with someone I met online dating. Because of COVID it was a nice walk. after the date we text a little, both said it was nice to meet each other. He sounded very enthusiastic. Then a week went by without us talking. So I broke the silence. Sent him a message. Just casual conversation. He responds, but takes a very long time now. And the enthusiasm is all gone. I like him, he is a nice guy, but not enough to hear back after 2 days and endure his reduced enthusiasm. what should I do? Just ghost? Ask what’s up? Or tell him that we can both just move on?
  2. I met this guy on bumble. After talking for a few days, I asked him on a date. He said he had plans but would be happy to meet up another time. But did not suggest when that time would be. He is still texting me, sending me pictures of things he comes across in his day, telling me about his day etc. I am however not looking for a penpal. Should I ghost him or keep talking to him until HE suggests to meet up?
  3. I did not leave him hoping he would miss me and come back. I am usually very intentional in the things I do, and I left because I was not getting what I wanted. The reason for asking this question is because I started to wonder if I did not give him enough time to decide to be exclusive. I’m not sure how long it takes a guy to know. Just 7 months in, by commitment, I mean dating exclusively. By intentions I mean, everyone spends time with someone with an intention. It could be to hook up, to be in a relationship etc. I prefer to not assume exclusivity and have the discussion and both agree on it. It just clears up any grey areas and in general makes life easier.
  4. I had been talking to a guy. Talking everyday, going on dates, I had met a couple of his friends, he had met mine. This lasted 7 months. 3 months in, I asked him his intentions, he said he wasn’t sure yet. 7 months in, still no commitment so I walked away. I told him I was done. He didn’t try to fix it. It’s been a month since we last spoke. I liked him a lot, but didn’t want to get played, that’s why I walked away. I think about him a lot though, just wondering if I made a mistake by walking away.
  5. Thank you for this! I needed the reminder that this is my life and I need to be very clear about what I want, and stand by it.
  6. Met a new guy. We met through a mutual friend. This was 6 months ago. At first I was super skeptical. But then I warmed up to him, started liking him a lot. We have been going on dates and talking for the last 6 months and I didn’t have an indication of what his intentions were. So I asked him. He said he hadn’t made his mind up yet. He told me he liked me a lot but was still figuring out what he wanted I was okay with that. We kept going, being okay, for 2 weeks. And then... he ghosted. Nothing happened, we didn’t argue, nothing awkward, I just called him on a Wednesday night, he never answered, I text him the next day, he read the message and never answered and I have not heard from him since. It’s been 4 days. Some might say I’m being dramatic/ impatient. We haven’t gone a day without talking/ seeing each other until now. I don’t think I have a question. Just needing to vent. I’ve been single 4 years and it just looks like there is literally no guy out there for me.
  7. This sounds like she also knows nothing serious will come out of your talking. She is enjoying the attention you give her, and having someone to text, but that’s it. You seem to be getting emotionally invested. Get out before you get hurt.
  8. Wow! Really? I don’t mind paying for a date, but surely these kind of games is not the way. I didn’t know this is something people do.
  9. Don’t text her again. She’s not interested. I agree with what DissyLu said. Move on. She will reach out when / if she wants to.
  10. Hello all, I recently started seeing a guy. He will text me everyday, and he doesn’t text on one day, he will call me on the next. We’ve been talking for like 3 weeks now. My major problem is that we rarely see each other. In the last the weeks, we have gone on just One date, which was after the first week of talking. He has maintained contact but doesn’t ask to see me. Couple of days ago, he called me just to chat, and I told him, we should see each other this week. He told me he’d let me know. Haven’t heard from him since. We livein the same city, so no distance excuse here. It’s kind of confusing to me. Should I be making the moves here, or is he just not that into me?
  11. This guy and I have known each other for 3 years now, and have become really good friends in the last year. As friends, he subtly flirts sometimes, very subtle so I just act like I didn’t notice it. This is because I think he just wants to hook up, and that’s not what I am looking for. Lately, I think I am getting feelings for him though. And I don’t know what to do. We talk everyday about anything and everything. He has become very confusing. 1 minute he is telling me to listen to love songs, sending me pics of his family and friends, next minute he is telling me about some hot girl he is sleeping with. He is also always saying how he doesn’t want to commit to one person unless he really likes them. It’s worth mentioning that we also do not live in the same country but visit each other every other month. I’m not sure how to know what he is thinking/feeling. I wouldn’t want to mention how I feel, because in case he doesn’t feel the same, it would ruin our friendship. What do you all think?
  12. Well, are you expressing interest in her? Explicitly? Without behaving like you are just a friend? If not... then I’m not sure what you expect to happen. That said, be careful because she just got out of a long relationship. She is probably not looking into getting into another one.
  13. He’s not in to you. And he also doesn’t even care about you. Block, ignore, move on. You deserve so much better!
  14. I actually don’t think he does. I think He just cares about me as his friend. If he liked me, I really believe he would have made a move. I’ve decided to let it go and just be his friend. Did you make a move on your situation?
  15. So cut him off? I usually try to reduce how much we talk... try to end call conversations .... but he will double text... or ask me questions after I’ve told him to have a nice day.. He’s confusing!
