  1. I'm really depressed right now. I'm a member of a volunteer fire department and a year and a half ago I took on the responsibility of entering all the runs into a program and then sending them to the state. I have failed to find time to do this and now the whole dept. has to pay for it, cause we're trying to get a state grant, and the state will not give us the grant unless all the runs are up to date in 20 days. I realize now that I took on more than I can handle and have now let down the whole dept.
  2. One of my brother's friends, who is 30, has now come to live with me and my family. He seems to have a problem with how to clean himself. He will wear the same clothes weeks on end, and seems to only take a shower once every other week. He now has this horrible odor, and does not seem to notice it. It has gotten so bad that even strangers have been noticing his smell and have made comments to me about it. How should I tell him that he stinks without hurting his feelings?
  3. I don't think you have anything to worry about, he told you that he's falling in love with you so maybe he is just as scared as you are right now, and that's why your conversations have been so short. Hope that helps.
  4. Ok, I am 23 and never dated and now have two girls that I am interested in, and don't know what to do. One girl is from church of who I have asked out, but was told that we were at "different points in our lives." But I still feel as if she has some interest in me but is just afraid of the age difference. I still get the occasional stare followed by a smile. The other girl I met online and have come to find that we have alot in common, I have not met here yet or even exchanged photos, and she lives 30 minutes away from me. What scares me is that I still have strong feelings for the girl from my church and do not want to ruin any chances that I may have from her by going out with this girl from the internet.
  5. It will be rough once his wife finds out, and it will be hard on his son, but he brought this all upon himself and he will have to face the consequences. Sooner or later his wife will eventually find out, whether you tell her or not.
  6. Thanks everyone, I knew that if I came here that everything would make more sense, and it does. Thanks, abo8
  7. I have finally asked the girl that I like out a second time. However she thinks the age difference would not make it work out. It is only a five year difference but she is a senior in high school and I am a senior in college. My head has been doing flops ever since I got her reply, cause I was sure that she liked me. I don't know how to deal with this, she's always on my mind and still is.
  8. I don't think violence will solve anything, it will just make things worse. Since the teachers are not stepping in, I suggest that you either go to higher authorities like the Principal, or transfer to another school.
  9. I used to be made fun of in school, and the best thing that I can tell you is to just ignore everyone when they are making fun of you. Getting angry and getting into fights is just going to make things worse and will provoke people to make fun of you even more. People have probably figured out that it is easy to get you upset and have taken advantage of that. Just try to ignore these people, they just have not grown up yet.
  10. Ok, I am having a similar situation with a girl. Last Sunday she was looking down at her feet and when I spoke to her she made eye contact and smiled. So does this mean she is interested and is just shy?
  11. Being on a fire department I have dealt with dead bodies from time to time from wrecks, etc. It's not an easy thing to accept but you eventually get used to it, and life goes on.
  12. I would not consider it a rebound relationship. Your ex cheated on you, but now it seems that this Adam guy is the right one for you.
  13. Actually she said "I would but I currently have a boyfriend." I have however learned that she has broken up with him.
  14. Ok, I'm going to see this girl at my church that I really like tomorrow. There has been this awkwardness between each other ever since I asked her out last June. Does anyone have any tips on how to break the ice without making it anymore awkward?
  15. I am very confused from the signals from which I have been receiving from this one girl. At first I thought she liked me, I asked her out, she tells me she would but has a boyfriend, later on she dumps her boyfriend. Now it is complete awardness, when I am near her she smiles but looks the other way, but I still catch her staring at me, and she never says anything to me. Does this mean that she likes me or doesn't like me? Should I ask her out again? I am afraid that if I pursue this any more that it may become even more awardward when I am around her.
