He left and the rest of the summer went on and we drifted apart and I decided to end it for other reasons, as I felt I would never be made a priority and we didn't know how to manage conflict. The breakup was quite messy but we decided to stop fighting and apologised and ended on a an okay note. I moved on with my life and so did he. We would check in with one another sometimes as we still cared but just very casually. I was dating casually and I assumed so was he. I had accepted at that point we weren't together and I didn't really look back. 3 months later he reached out saying his mum wanted him to ask me about some work so we spoke on the phone. We spoke and I didn't think too much of it, I went on a date later that week and my date asked me about getting more serious and then I realised I was still in love with my ex. While he was nervous that when I left for abroad the relationship will break down. It was very traumatic and we were fighting a lot. Things exploded more than I have ever experienced and the relationship dissolved in an instant. He said he would be there for me but not with me and I did not want to accept it, especially with no explanation. He gave up on us. Right before it even started. He got so angry and started bringing up all the downs in the relationship, the feeling of my family not liking him and my past betrayal. He behaved like the month we had spent together didn't happen and belittled the experience. I didn't realise nor had he expressed how much the betrayal affected him. Two weeks later he now has a new girlfriend where he was posting it all over the internet. It was a big shock for me, and everyone. it was a lot of drama as people always believed we were together and loved each other, even through separation. I expressed to him he was hurting me with his behaviour and he didn't seem to care at all. I feel like the person I loved changed in an instant. This time it feels so final. I have cried so so many tears. I feel like I have lost my brother. Despite feeling mistreated, betrayed, abandoned, disrespected. I thought we loved each other. I hate conflict. Upon getting pregnant I had fantasied about how amazing of a child we could have, with the life we both pictured together and to lose both things so quickly. It hurts.   20. Hi, So last week I was cleaning our bedroom and I noticed an empty package so went to take a look at it. As I got close to it I noticed it was a Pregnancy test kit with 2 empty foil packets in it. The expiry date was in 2024 and kits have a 2/3 year expiry. At first my heart sank because I thought the worst but I calmly left it and later approached her really casually and just said 'Oh when I was cleaning the room I say an empty pregnancy test box under the bed, not sure why it is there'. Her first reaction was shock and surprise followed with 'Why are you looking under the bed, oh it must have been our daughter who got it out and put it there'. I left that and never came back to it, I have since not seen the kit anywhere and it has completely disappeared from the house with no trace. The reason I am asking here is that we had a very bad spell a few years back where our sex lives were non existent, she was never interested in me and she would reject intimacy and we made it over a year without having sex which drove me insane and I had to have CBT to deal with the rejection around that and the anxiety surrounding it all. The expiry date on the test kit if I am right would have put the date back from purchase around 3 years which would have been 2020 where things were very hard and our intimacy was really bad. I am really struggling to see what to do here? I am not sure if she has cheated on me? If it was something she did being a woman? If it was a kit from when we were trying for a child in 2017 which is highly unlikely. Either way I have an odd feeling about this and usually my gut is right in these circumstances.   21. I'm a woman in my late 30's and my partner is a guy in his early 40's. I've been dating him for just over three months, but I also dated him briefly 20 years ago and then lost touch with him until last year. I've been in a few serious relationships before and been engaged. He has been in one serious relationship before for about 6 years and he was married to that woman. I actually know this woman, she's an acquaintance of mine that I got to know before I ran into my partner again after 20 years. His ex-wife has really bad mental health issues and in their marriage she didn't work, didn't take any care of their pets and didn't do much around the house. My partner did everything. My partner told me that although he hadn't been diagnosed, he suspects that he has high functioning autism. I have actually noticed this because he gets sensory overload, is a fussy eater, interrupts people. But overall he's a nice and kind person and even his ex-wife only had good things to say about him and highly recommended him to me lol My partner had been very sweet to me, giving massages, cooking for me, buying gifts I like, writing me poetry and songs, making origami for me, things like that. Our sexual chemistry is also incredible and this led to an unplanned pregnancy only 2.5 months into us dating each other. Right now I'm nearly 8 weeks pregnant. My partner was really happy and excited about the baby and definitely wanted to have it and be with me. We said to each other that we love each other. There is a huge problem however and that's that I feel really uncomfortable about his relationship with his mother. I think his relationship with his mother seems very co-dependent and inappropriate. His parents knocked off his grandmother's house and built two houses on the land. My partner had lived with housemates or his wife before, but thus time he moved into the house right next door to his parents to "help" them. This was just before we started dating. I straight away noticed that something was going on with his relationship with the mother. His father is from Asia but his Mum is Caucasian Westerner. The Dad has actually never been an issue, it's the Mum. Every time I was over at his house, his Mum kept coming over, usually unannounced and often not even knocking. She would just come in (the door was unlocked or she opened it with her keys). I also noticed that sometimes she came in the house while he wasn't even there. One time we went out and when we came back, we saw signs that she'd been there. She said she came in because "the dogs were barking", but she never told us about it. His Mum would also call on the phone and message often just to chat, or to ask my partner to go over to her place and help with random stuff. I want to point out that the things didn't seem urgent. One time my partner invited my friends and I over for dinner and his Mum knew we were over. She came over twice and the second time asked my partner to come over and help with something. My partner left us, his guests, for about ten minutes to go help his Mum. One time his Mum came over and rang the doorbell and we were in the middle of having sex! My partner didn't tell her it wasn't a good time but put his clothes on and opened the door to her. I have already spoken to my partner a couple of times about this and to please have boundaries with his Mum. He did speak to her and she stopped coming in as much, but she still kept doing it. I also noticed that she's messaging my partner a lot and informing her about everything he's doing, where he's going, etc. Also sometimes she buys him clothes. My partner asked me to move in with him and I felt I really needed to be honest and told him I felt about the Mum situation. My partner was visibly upset but he wasn't rude or anything like that at all. He said that living somewhere else could be an option but he didn't really seem to truly understanding how I feel. He said that in the Asian culture you have to take care of your parents when they're older. I know he grew up in Asia until his late teens. However as I said, his Mum is white Westerner. And the Asian father has not been any problem at all and never calls or comes over. My partner said he feels responsibility as the oldest child to help his parents, but he's not an only child. He's one of four siblings. I really want to make this work and especially for the baby, but I feel like there's nothing I can do? I feel like he's actually fine with this relationship he has with his mother and he's enabling it.
  22. My wife and I just had a baby girl Nov. 15th, but my wife left me shortly after she got pregnant because I selfishly got her pregnant and she trusted me to do the pull out method. She robbed me of going through the pregnancy and being in the delivery room. Now she only lets me come over to her house twice a week for about an hour at a time. She's being civil to me. She has 3 other kids from a previous marriage. Her mother helps her take care of her children or somebody from her church helps her, babysitting. She made clear to me that she is divorcing me in March and that I need to accept it. I tried to talk her into giving me a second chance but she said no. I'm hurt and I wish she would give me a chance, but every time I bring it up she gets mad so I just go see my child and don't talk about us anymore. I lied to her when I said I didn't want her back anymore. How can i get my family back? And be happy again?
  23. finally got to together with a girl I knew since 2002. That was March of this year we got together. I mean she has wanted to get with me since the first day I met her. But I was too shy, and I had a lot of respect for her brother. But I did like her. I though she was the finest girl I had ever seen. She said she was dreaming of going out with me. Now, I think not getting with her earlier was the biggest mistake of my life but the only time I met her is because of her brother. We were good friends ever since the second grade. But she is also 5 months pregnant when I met her by another man but he chose drugs over her but the thing is or I want to know. I love her and I know she loves me. During the time she wrote me over 46 letters about how she feels about me. In September when we were in school she showed me the ring that her ex- boyfriend gave her and I though that was it. But in her letters she said if I would have asked her out she would have dump him. But I went on homebound and in October the next month she was pregnant. Is it right that we are together now?

  25. Well here is my long story shortened. Me and my wife have been married for 37 months. We have one child who is 2, a boy. We were married after only knowing each other for 3 months. I met her a few months after she left her fiance of 2 years and had a car accident and lost a baby all within a few months of each other. Her ex fiance who was about 10 years older at 33 was a physician's assistant and made well into the six figures for a salary, they had a dream house being built, they were planning their dream wedding and she was 4 months pregnant with his child. It ended by her finding out he was sleeping with a 18 year old on the side. She left him being 4 months pregnant, a house they were buying together until their dream house was finished was put on her. So she was 4 months pregnant alone, and stuck with a quarter of a million dollar house. to make matters worse, a month later she was in a bad accident which made her have a miscarriage. When I met her this all happened a few months earlier. I was in the army, I met her off of aol one night in the chat room. We got along ok, she didn't tell me her sad story or anything. We ended up meeting, we got along ok. I guess I just never left. I ended up moving in about a month later. We got married 3 months after that. She was pregnant with my child at this time. I wasn't sure what to do so I decided to merry her. The day before we were to be married she lost the baby which was only a few weeks after the pregnant test was posative. The wedding which obviously was going to be a courthouse ordeal with no one to witness or anything, I never even met her parents who lived 2 miles away which should of told me something. I married her anyway, I felt like if I didn't merry her I would of just been doing it because she was pregnant. Well anyway, so we get married no honeymoon or anything. She is very upset about the miscarraige. Obvoiusly loosing the first baby that she was looking forward to having was very tragic, even though she won't admit it. 6 months of trying and failing, meaning testing posative for pregnancy and then having a miscarriage within a few weeks was very tough on her. I felt very bad, even though I wasn't ready to be a dad yet I continued to try and make her happy. We did finally and successfully have our son after being together for about a year and a half. So that is the story on how I got in my situation now. My situation now is, my wife is controlling. She controls my spending habits as in I get to buy nothing without getting yelled at. That is not the main problem obviously but doesn't help. We have no sex life, no intimacy no romance no flirting kissing cuddling goofing around, nothing. She gets mad at me if I touch her in any way that is sexual. We havne't had sex in almost a year. When we have had sex it's very uneventful and almost uncomfortable, almost like I feel guilty. That was how it was, it has now turned into a blame game. I am blamed for everything especially her depression. She is extremely depressed, she has a eating disorder and is suicidal. I currently work at night and I am going to a online school to finish my bachelors degree. My son goes to day care during the day, my wife works. She is very successful at her job. But she blames me for having to stay there and keep working. I told her it's fine to quit but she is worried that I will leave her at that time. She is also worried I will give her a lot of negative comments after she does quit. She thinks I am only with her because of the money she makes I guess. However, I am unable to buy anything anyway I tell her. She thinks because I want stuff that I do get it or something when clearly I don't. so yeah there are a ton of problems here. We have gone to counceling but that seems to make it 10 times worse after. When thnigs are swept under the rug it seems to be almost managable. yes a spark will ignite a 4 alarm fire within minutes but it never seems to end with us apart. I have left multiple times, even one time calling the police to get out. But she ended up calling me like nothing happened and I am asked if I am coming home. I say I guess and go back. What drives me back however is my son, and the fear of being alone and on my own. I lived with my mom, then my cousin then I was in the army until I met her. Not to mention I now live a thousand miles away from where I grew up, where my friends and family are. So having no support system doesn't help. She is very controlling and has tried to convince me no matter what I do everything that is wrong in her life right now is my fault. So what can you do. I forgot to mention we sleep in different beds for 2 years now. Due to my snoring which is understandable but adds to the negatives. Also she hates my siste, me and my sister are best friends she is kind of a like a mother to me. My mother was in and out of hospitals most of my childhood, so she was the one who raised me mostly. i can talk to her about anything and I mentioned that ot my wife. As a result she hates her and I have not seen my sister in over 3 years. I have a neice who is a little older then my son. I am unable to see her because my wife is so controlling. My sister obvoiusly doesn't like her and knew this was going to be troulbe from the start. My wife and my sister hate each other, and they never met how sad and rediculous is that? cran
