"I don't deserve you"

Okay this is just freaking me out. I've posted several times about my ex-girlfriend on these forums and I'm still struggling to get over it.

One of the common themes between me and my 3 roommates and my best friend is we have all heard the line "I don't deserve you" or a variant of this line. All five us have had our relationships go sour, all five us have been rejected and/or dumped.

Okay so I'm like mega bleak right now about everything. This makes me being tired of being the 'nice guy.' See, the thing is I thought a girl wanted a nice guy who was internally strong and independent (not needy), what the hell? Was I wrong about this?

I just may as well give up on relationships, I mean seriously what the blankety blank?

I think its silly... that line is the oldest trick in the book. Means that they want out... and they don't want to be mean. Simply say "screw you" and move on. Can't love a jerk like that I'd say.

I don't know. I agree. I feel like I've been totally played by my ex and now I'm beyond hurt. I sob as I write this message. Is there no one out there who is sincere?!?
