I have been on seroxat/peroxitine for 4 years. I am now on just 5mg every other day, but have just found out that I am pregnant. What are the chances of this harming the baby? I am now withdrawing.

    seroxat and pregnancy

hi,i am also on seroxat and want to start trying for a baby soon,i have spoken to my docter and he said it is best to abstain from taking it in the first three months of development.
i am sure your baby will be fine as you were only taking a small dose when you fell pregnant.
the docter said there is no known proof that serxat can be harmfull to the feotus.
congratulations and welll done you for getting off the drug.

    Baby born suffering withdrawal symptons

I was told by doctor that coming off of seroxat while pregnant would do more harm than good. As a result my baby spent two weeks in special care unit suffering from withdrawal symptons. She would shake uncontollably, and frequently became agitated and fretful. Doctors spent a lot of time implying that I must be a junkie!
