Yes I would have thought so .

Our big thing here and I presume for you all is the pubs and bars and of course Christmas .....there are hints that we will have a 5 day relaxtion of rules to allow 3 or 4 household to get together ....seems a quarter of the country want that , a quarter are intending on doing it regardless , a quarter are screaming noooooooooo don't do it , not when we are on the verge of the oxford vaccine , and the remaining quarter just don't know what the hell is going on .

As for bars and pubs , well my emily works in a bar ...do I want her stood there on Christmas eve in the middle of all that ...no of course not , but these independent pubs are going under too so I feel sorry for them , I hate to say it though , but it is safer without alcohol !!! Easy for me to say I know , I don't drink ...but alcohol and pandemics do not mix .

Anyway I will update later tonight .

But , the bit I heard seems to cover it .....we are coming out of lockdown on 2nd December and going back to our cities been on a tiered system and that determines if bars can open as takeaways or have punters actually in .

No one knows yet what tier we are all on in our cities .

We can meet in groups of 6 I believe ...oh it is all a mish mash if you want the truth .

Not good where I am. We have been placed under more restrictions, hospitals are full at this time, very few ICU beds. Funny you don't hear the media talking too much about it but that's what is going on and I only know that as someone "on the inside".

I have been exposed at work due to an employee that tested positive. I didn't find out until after a week. Yes, that's right, our tests don't come back until 5+ days now. Functionally useless. One of my patients got very sick, we aren't sure if she had it. Her test will be delayed as well, already talked to the lab. It's no use.

The cases just keep going up. This vaccine can't come quickly enough. I don't feel that I can go to the grocery store at this time either. I may spend Christmas alone and I'm dreading it.

The US has been very open with Covid statistics. The UK government is really withholding information? That's insane!

My cousin is in the process of being admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. She fears she has Covid. I'm frightened for her.

I have heard, yes, but I have so much doubt re: distribution capabilities. I am a healthcare worker in a high risk area so I, in theory, will get jabbed first. But I just don't know.

I fear getting sick or spreading it to my patients before a vaccine.

They have given us bit more information about distribution for us , they do not expect all the GP surgeries to deal with alone and the last I heard people are going to be trained specifically to get this banged out . I don't know the pecking order yet , but obviously front line workers like you and the vulnerable need it .

I will be glad to see us all one by one come on and say we are vaccinated .

How does this make sense ..we come out of lockdown on the 2nd and 4000 sports fans will be allowed to gather for events in low risk areas !! Thousands upon thousands are still getting positive results every day ... we are a tiny Island , why lock us down to open us up to that .... I will never understand some of these decisions .

So here are the UK's Christmas rules

From Dec 23rd to Dec 27th

Up to 3 households can mix to form a ‘Christmas bubble’

You cannot meet in pubs/restaurants

You don’t have to social distance within your bubble

You can’t change your bubble once picked.

Absolute madness this close to the vaccine .

Frustrating for sure...

Second time this has happened, same store, same age person (middle aged lady). Last week - middle aged lady peering into the frozen pizza case -basically meditating. Higher end market. I needed to get my kids pizza. But -her mask is pulled down below her nose and I've seen her there before. So I said "look, I know what I want and I can't get there because you're not wearing your mask - can you please move aside and I'll get it quickly?" She did "oh! I forgot to pull my mask up!" (ok)

This week same store, now the canned fish aisle. Meditating middle aged lady(she just cannot manage to select which canned salmon she wants), mask pulled down -not the same lady but looked similar. Now, not only can I not get my cart in the aisle there's now a woman behind me waiting -so I say to her "she doesn't have her mask on - so I am waiting but if you want please go ahead of me" - she doesn't - so I say to the maskless lady - "excuse me I need to get my item, and you're not wearing a mask so I can't get there" -she scurries away, holdng a multipack of fish she already had in hand and puled up her mask.

So -no - it's not some disability or medical condition - just laziness. (and in both cases their naked noses were inches from the food).

Frustrating for sure...

It is just ridiculous ...not that I would want anyone to be alone ...but ..............

I wished people would take this more seriously on how bad it's becoming.

My friend watched her mother die a few weeks ago, again due to Covid. It's becoming alarming.

Gee thanks, well I hope to god my family member doesn't die...but you know what? It doesn't look good. I could be having a very dark Christmas this year as more of my family members are waiting to see if they are positive.

This come right after one of our main hospitals shut down due to Covid running rampant through it like wildfire.

But it's now shut down as they keep finding more and more Covid cases in all areas of the hospitals.

In my city in particular, it's getting to be quite bad. Months back, it was only strangers we heard of that had Covid, now it's coming closer and closer and it's now neighbors, family members, friends etc.

This year is quite bad and I am literally cringing over how much worse it will get over Christmas. My stress levels are not good. I don't want to lose a family member but things aren't great.

It is not good enough is it !!!!

 

Did I ever tell the story on here about me getting threatened ..sorry if this is a repeat performance .

 

This was just before the last lock down in March ...we were all kinda using scarves over our faces and and told to stand two metres apart . I was in a queue and was next . This man came and cut the queue and stood a foot infront of me ...I could understand how he didn't realise with all the big gaps that we were in a queue . I was more bothered how close he was to me ..so I said , hey there is a queue and you shouldn't be stood that close to me or anyone ...he muttered something then walked passed me , almost brushing his arm next to mine .....so I said hey don't get so close ( I was at breaking point in my head I was sooooo scared )

 

With that the girl infront who was getting served turned and shouted * are you for f*****G real ...I thought she was talking to him for being an idiot and sort of spun my head around and she said , * no you , you f** idiot , I am going to come over there and f you up more then you could ever imagine getting f'd up in your life !!!!! On and on she went .... she got escorted out by the security and I was just stood open mouthed ( with my scarf over it ) in disbelief ....so that's what you get when you stand up for yourself re covid !! She was half my age as well ...she probably would have floored me lol
