bluecastle
So much drama. First she was the religious minx who wouldn’t kiss you, then the vixen you couldn’t perform for, now the basic rules of capitalism have conspired to ruin your romantic future... I don’t mean to be flip, but I don’t quite get it. Rents get raised, people move. This is life, not the apocalypse. Why is telling her this something to feel horrible about? “My landlord is raising my rent and now I have to move,” are words a lot of adult human have said, over centuries, to fellow adults. “Bummer,” is the general reply, “but I bet you’ll find an awesome spot.” Just struggling, genuinely, to understand what the issue is here. Hollyj
What does moving have to do with dating her? Are you staying in the same city? Link to comment

SarahLancaster
You have to move to a different state because your landlord raised the rent? Why not just find a cheaper place to live in the same city? Link to comment
Wiseman2
It's ok to just tell her your moving on xyz, then say your goodbyes. Sounds like a blessing and the perfect out. Things weren't going very well from the start of this. I almost went all the way with this cute Vietnamese girl...did pretty much everything up until the end. Link to comment

Why not just find a cheaper place to live in the same city? I agree. Unless he is running home to mom and dad. Or get a part time gig to cover the difference while you look for a place.
