limichelle
I was awhile back as you know from previous threads going through health issues. I’m recently going through something different. I haven’t been on here as much as I used too. So from the last health issue regarding the iron infusion. Things with my health were looking up. Then I started getting urinary incontinence. About five months ago. It got worse a month ago so I saw my urologist. He told me to see a pelvic floor specialist. Then said he was done with me. I left feeling defeated. He had done a cystoscope back in July and nothing showed from the imaging suggesting otherwise. Well I was upset and was referred to my current new Urologist. She ordered a ct urogram october 29 and I had it done. She gave me the results November 5 that I have a large mass in my bladder. This Wednesday I’m having several procedures done. I’m also being administered a chemo drug into my bladder Incase she looks in there and sees a possibility of cancer. I’m feeling anxious and upset the last urologist missed the mass. I’m not looking for medical advice. I guess just well wishes for Wednesday. Thank you Link to comment
Camber 2019
Well wishes and prayers... Sometimes it's the "not knowing" that scares us more than the actual issue... Hang in there. Link to comment

arjumand
I am pleased you found a competent as the last one clearly was not and telling you that he was done with you just further demonstrates what a poor physician you had. This one is on top of the situation, and even though it is scary, it is so much better to go into a procedure knowing the person doing it capable. Link to comment
Batya33
Prayers and hugs!!! I have no medical knowledge but haven't heard of giving chemo drugs prior to determining whether the mass is cancerous. Best wishes! Link to comment

limichelle
My procedure had to be pushed back! I have a urinary tract infection and they can’t do the procedure until that clears. Unfortunately I’m pushed back and won’t have it now until November 27th. That was the only available slot this month. I feel blessed to have support around me. My boyfriend and parents have been giving me support during this time. So I’m thankful for that. Link to comment

The silver lining is that they refused to do any procedures while you're feeling a little down fighting this. Eat well, stay hydrated. Hope you feel better soon and very happy to hear you have all that love and support around you. Link to comment

limichelle
Hi, Thank you for all the support! Unfortunately I’ll be spending Thanksgiving in the hospital as it’s in patient. Right now I’m trying to get it moved up so I can have it next week instead. I’m allergic to so many antibiotics and the infection is resistant to most of them. I may be going into the hospital for ivy antibiotics today. I’m waiting to hear from the medical assistant. It’s a lot of hoops I have to jump through just to get the right antibiotic. I’m happy they caught the infection before doing the procedure. Knowing the stubborn part of me not looking forward to the pain after the TURBT is done. I wish I didn’t have to have the procedure. The doctor told me though as far as tumors go, you don’t mess around and wait. I just really don’t want all of this being done around Thanksgiving. It’s bad enough a couple months ago my mom broke her hip and my dad is having hernia surgery November 22nd. So with me in the mix with getting this mass removed my poor brother whose doing Thanksgiving this year won’t have help! My boyfriend is leaving to go back to Rhode Island to spend Thanksgiving with his parents. He booked the flight months ago. It’s just poor timing. I’m grateful for you guys on here and the support it means so much! ❤️ Link to comment
Rose Mosse
I would be with you if I could. I hope you take it easy. I'm sure your doctor will prescribe you painkillers for the few days post-surgery. Don't worry so much about the Thanksgiving party. There will be many Thanksgivings after this to celebrate with family. One day at a time. Link to comment

Awe Thank you Rose, that is so sweet, that helps put things into perspective and you’re right I need to take this a day at a time. The good news is someone from my family besides parents can take me to the procedure and pick me up. I didn’t have to go into the hospital for ivy antibiotics. The doctor found one I can take.
