Can you not sit down with her and your father and have a family discussion like adults as to why you will benefit to stay at school and just come home two weekends a month or something? Can you come up with a compromise that would suit the two of you?

Yeah I told her twice a week. Then she brought up my neighbor who comes home every weekend - she didn’t know it was only for her job. I didn’t want to argue so just left it.

I would have said "i am not the neighbor and I need to be at school some weekends to participate in extracurriculars and to study"
