Why do I keep breaking the NC rule. I go fine for a few days then text. Did something g really silly yesterday and emailed a song we used to listen to. I cringed after. Does this make me appear needy or just that I still care?

Sorry this is happening. You're too old to waste time like this on someone who just doesn't care. Get out and get involved in life again d so you're not ruminating and tempted to contact.

Build a new life. New social circle and friends. Keep busy.

It doesn't sound like you have really started doing that which leaves you stuck thinking of her.

Delete the number from your phone.

    Yes, you can.

If you have it memorized, text a friend instead and tell them you're tempted to beg the ex again (which, sorry, is what you're doing). Your friend can talk you out of it.
