Right, they arent just going to believe a rape claim just because, especially with no evidence. People have rights...you're innocent until proven guilty...

She told me that if I go to the police she will accuse me of rape. I have said everything to my lawyer and he's gonna make arrangements. Probably I'll have to meet her soon with her lawyer too. I don't want to though, this will halt the process of me moving on, again....

For what? And why are lawyers even involved? Are you married? Is this for the restraining order? You dont need lawyers for that, I guess it could help but in court they have proper protocols that keep perpetrators away... and the threats you just made here, you're the perpetrator right now...you are only in danger of halting your moving on if you don't actually want to move on. Standing your ground and showing you will not be a pawn in these games anymore would seem to be an incredibly powerful thing to do...

Why do you need to make her feel powerless? That sounds like a chess move of someone who actively participates in an unhealthy relationship. If you want this to end doing that would have the opposite effect...

You don't tell her anything, why is your lawyer not telling you this? You're filing a restraining order, why would you be in contact with her?!?

I would not contact her at all. Go forward with your lawyer and restraining order, tell him your concerns so they are aware. Its his job to shield you from false accusations and harassment. She only has power if you let her. Laws exisit to protect people from this. You have absolutely nothing to worry about on paper... emotionally...thats a different story..but these concerns? Unfounded, so don't stress.
