    Fave Christmas treats??

Hi! I'm looking for ideas on Christmas treats. Starting to plan out my baking baskets that I give out in the community near the holidays.

Anything you particularly love, would want, have nostalgic value for you, or wouldn't make for yourself?!

    Thanks!!

Take a pretzel and put a Rolo on it. Pop it in the oven for a few minutes and then stick a toasted walnut on the top to squish it down on to the pretzel a little. Salty squishy crunchy sweet delicious

I like italian anisette cookies, the kind with the glaze and the sprinkles.

Ooh! This is a great idea, itsallgrand! Serious question, how do you ensure baked goods keep fresh for long? I'm putting mine in tins, but I'm not sure that this is sufficient.

I enjoy cinnamon, shortbread, butter and chocolate cookies.

    Woohoo, thanks so far!
The ones I get asked for the most, and so has become the 'holy trinity' core of my baking have been:
    Shortbread
    Butter tarts
Biscuits au sucre a la creme
I make so many of these, it's crazy.

So shortbread is a yes! And I will be trying batches of the ideas given here, for variety in the mix.

Green dots, I don't do anything fancy. I keep most frozen until close to giving out. I wrap in plastic wrap. Maybe someone else will chime in!

I love sharing homemade fudge around Christmas time.

Rum soaked raisin fudge is a good way to make it Christmassy. Who doesn't love a rum cake around Christmas time?

I don't know if they're actually seasonal or if they just were for my family, but we'd all make buckeyes. Big fan.

And not a baked good, but the holidays were also when we'd splurge a bit and always have some jamon serrano to snack on.
