katrina1980
Amen. They're getting pummelled! Cat 4, 150 mph winds. Kinda came out of the blue, no? I didn't hear much about it till last night and now today. I hope everyone got out in time - prayers to all affected and their families. Link to comment
Seraphim
I don’t think they expected it to be as powerful as it was . It was pretty much a category five hurricane . Only a few miles an hour short. Link to comment

katrina1980
Holy cow this monster storm was like something out of the worst disaster movie you've ever seen. As it approached the FL coast, it was only a cat 1 but just as it was about to hit, it suddenly increased to a cat 4, winds 155 mph, just shy of a cat 5 by only 2 mph. It swept through fast literally destroying everything in its path. Panama City is gone, literally. Mexico Beach same. It was the strongest, most powerful and devastating storm to hit the U.S., ever. One for the history books. Many people did not evacuate but thankfully and amazingly they survived. So far only two deaths, two too many but with a storm that devastating, that number could have much much higher. More prayers for all affected, and wish them the best as go through the process of rebuilding their beautiful cities. Link to comment
