Different things work for different people.

My godmother was diabetic and keto worked very well for her. Same for my mom, who is not diabetic.

However, I did not find success with keto. I tried it for two weeks--Atkins plan--and my weight didn't budge.

Also, I found it very tedious. I love meat, but having meat every day, for every meal, for two weeks is extremely boring.

My main takeaway from that experience (besides the fact that it didn't work for everyone) was that meat has limited flavor and that most of the flavor in my meals came from vegetables!!
