im pining over my best friend and it hurts

me and my best friends have been best friends for 10 years, i fell in love with her almost three years ago, i confessed to her one year and a half ago and i still cannot get over her rejection or stop suffering because of her. at this point she probably thinks I'm over it, which is why we're as close as we used to be.

this hurts me a lot, because i see her almost every day and i honestly would probably be much better if i didn't see her. however she cares about me, and she probably would suffer from losing our friendship since it's been such a relatively stable one.

i don't know what to do, i don't want to tell her i still love her because it was humiliating enough to tell her once.

Well, I think she knows that you love her. But she just doesn't think of you that way. Like you said, it would be easier if you didn't see her every day. All you can do is move away or change jobs, or stop going to where she shows up every day. Then maybe you can heal and date another girl.
