datingnovice
Spent 7.5 years with the same woman. Been broken up for almost a year. Was doing fine. But just today--out of the blue--I was really missing her. Not for any reason in particular. It wasn't an anniversary or a milestone day or anything. Nothing at all had changed since the day before. There truly was no reason for me to suddenly become so sad. But I am. Link to comment
DancingFool
Sometimes it happens just like that. After 7.5 years, one year out is really not that long. It takes a long time to get past an LTR. Hang in there, it's normal, and it will pass. Link to comment
DanZee
Yeah, it happens. A neuron fires in the brain and activates a memory of your ex. That memory triggers other memories. From time to time, I find myself thinking of a date I went on with one of my old girlfriends. As DancingFool said, you were together for 7.5 years. That's a lot of memories. Link to comment
Beetie
ive been 6 months out of a 3.5 year relationship. I was sort of doing ok at about the 2-4 month mark (probably was just bandaid-ing things though) and thought I was getting over the hump. But since last weekend Ive just been a mess. crying and missing him all over the place... Link to comment
