I woke up out of my sleep in the middle of the night because my daughter started crying and my girlfriend didn’t hear it so I tend to her. When I got back in my bed to go to sleep I heard my girlfriend moaning damn Stevie it’s huge. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep but then I heard her breathing very heavy and then moaning more and more and the. She because moving her body around. I know the sounds she makes while having sex and it sound very familiar. I’m kinda freaking the hell out. This Stevie guy is someone we both know and both work with. They are friends and he’s know. To be a notorious man while and sleeps around with a lot of women and I have often been worried of the friendship they have together and now this is blowing my mind.

I'm confused....so was she asleep and dreaming or maybe in the next room and you were overhearing her?? Not really clear on what the situation was....based on the title of your thread, I'm guessing she was asleep??

If that's the case....let it go. We can't control our dreams any more so than we can control the weather. Don't punish her for something she has no control over.

If she is having sex dreams that isn't really your business. It isn't as if she can really control that.

Also, her having a dream doesn't have any implication that she is cheating on you with this guy.

Now, if you have many circumstantial clues that have lead you to believe she could potentially cheating on you and this is the straw that broke the mules back, I can understand.

But this in and of itself means nothing.

I hate to say it, but most people in long-term relationships occasionally fantasize about others. Sex dreams are a commonality too. I second the others who have mentioned she has no control over her dreams. I wouldn't worry about her having a friendship with other men unless she has given you legitimate reasons to worry outside of the night you are referring to. Try to have more confidence in yourself and your own attractiveness. Jealousy in relationships tends to be a huge turn-off for women.

Sex dreams in many cases, dreaming of sex isn’t really about sex. From a psychological perspective, dreams about having sex may symbolize the merging of contrasting aspects of yourself or a need to incorporate aspects of your dream sex partner into yourself. To have sex with a stranger may symbolize a new you that is emerging due to changes you are going through. I've had sex dreams of others before - zero interest in waking life of them.

I wouldn't worry about it. She could have been dreaming of giant rats.

I agree about jealousy, and a dream is just a dream.

You may be making more out of it unless your other suspicions bear some weight.

You could bring it up casually about what is bothering you. Communicate that you feel a bit uncomfortable about a coworker. Trust and honesty are needed for relationships to work and there really isn't room for jealousy.

My guess is you're ****ing with us or she was ****ing with you. They don't even say that in porns anymore.

Taking the OP at face value, I'm gonna go with this -- the latter statement.

Or, something's really off.

When we are in REM sleep, our bodies are paralyzed. They don't move. Ever tried to say something in a dream and felt you couldn't move your lips and then woke up? That's because you couldn't move them. Let alone form full sentences, let alone ones that could easily be written into a lousy script and still fit a coherent context.

Breathing becomes more rapid and irregular during REM sleep than during non-REM sleep, and the heart rate and blood pressure also increase to near waking levels. Core temperature is not well regulated during this time and tends towards the ambient temperature, in much the same way as reptiles and other cold-blooded animals. Sexual arousal is also common during REM sleep and the male penis and female clitoris become aroused and erect for substantial periods during this sleep stage, regardless of whether or not any dreams in progress are of an erotic nature.

Although the muscles become more relaxed during non-REM sleep, they become completely paralyzed and unresponsive during REM sleep. This virtual absence of muscle tone and skeletal muscle activity is known as atonia, and it occurs because the brain impulses that control muscle movement are completely suppressed (other than those controlling the eye movements and one or two other essential functions, like the heart, diaphragm, etc, that allow us to breathe and remain alive). The source of these inhibitory signals (which utilize the neurotransmitter norepinephrine) is in a specific part of the pons region of brainstem called the locus coeruleus.
