To Whom it may Concern: I have a question to ask . I have been dating this girl for 3 years. I just found out her first boyfriend or Xboyfriend has died do I tell her or do I let her find out otherwise ? unknown decision Thanks

How do you know this and assume she doesn't?

Yes. I’m not sure of the logic why you wouldn’t? If he has passed away, he’s not a threat to your relationship. And would you keep that information if it was someone you used to work with or went to high school with?

I don’t really understand why you wouldn’t.

The more mature and understandable decision would be to tell her the her ex has passed away, if she had feeling for him, she might cry, but that won’t have a long term effect on your relationship with her. If you leave it too long however, she might get mad that you withheld the truth from her when it is her right to know.

I'd tell her if it was me, assuming someone else doesnt tell her first.
