epikaiii
Christmas is coming up and honestly I can't afford to buy presents for everyone. I have this beautiful watch, brand new and still packaged, that I bought for my brother's birthday a couple months ago but he said he didn't want it. I was wondering if I could give it to my boyfriend? It's an expensive watch, and we have only been dating for a month. I understand that it's really weird to give an expensive gift so early in a relationship, especially since we don't even say 'I love you' yet lol. Link to comment
reinventmyself
I vote no. In your own words" I understand that it's really weird to give an expensive gift so early in a relationship" You might risk scaring him or embarrassing him while you on the other hand receive the gift of a coffee cup with a bow on it. Save the watch for another time further down the road. Link to comment
Hollyj
No. Can you return it? Link to comment
Wiseman2
No, don't give expensive jewelry after 1 mo of dating. It will be awkward not appreciated. Buy a simple gift at this point.I bought for my brother's birthday a couple months ago but he said he didn't want it. I was wondering if I could give it to my boyfriend? epikaiii
Maybe? I'm not sure, it's been a few months. Link to comment
greta96
A month is nothing in the dating world, so I'd say no. A watch is just too personal to give someone you barely know. Hold on to it and you can give it to him next year, if you two are still together. Link to comment
smackie9
Buy something he would really enjoy....a video game would make him very happy. Link to comment
Capricorn3
1 month is way way too early to be giving watches as gifts. I would never accept and also would feel very awkward. Link to comment
j.man
I will take one for the team and take this watch off your hands. Link to comment

I also vote for maybe no gifts and just going to a nice dinner since you guys just met. Link to comment
catfeeder
I would try returning it. If you can't get a refund, get a store credit. Then you could use that money to buy a some less expensive gifts for people on your list. Link to comment
