What's falling in love like the second time around?

Hello all,

I'm healing from my first love dumping me. Good thing is that I'm starting to believe that maybe we aren't meant to be and there's someone else. So what's it like the second go?

i would love to know this. i just got broken up with couple days ago and i still love him and wish we can get back together. im hoping for it.

id just like to know about this as im really struggling and emotional drained from it all

Falling in love the second time around is similar to the first, except that you understand it a little more. This doesn't mean it's not as intense, just not as fresh.

it's like the first time you ate ice cream, or chocolate or something similar. It was like OMG that is Fing amazing. Then the second time, you try it and it's not as amazing as the first because it's not the first but wait, yeah that's the flavour, that's what I liked about it.

In some ways you enjoy irt a little less, because it's not this amazing new experience, but in other ways you enjoy it more because you understand it better.

Then sometimes on the fifth time around you just fall over and wonder what was that thing that just hit you.

Right, but it's not as black and white as that. Love comes in so many different shades. The variable that is the partner comes with so many other variables which come with so many other variables that it is always going to be fresh and you will experience so many new things that will keep you just as engaged as that first love did.
