Hi..I don't mean to brag but I told you it can easily be a cyst go back and read my previous posts.

I also told you, that you need to see both a gynecologist and urologist because you might have two simultaneous conditions at the same time, which is pretty common having more than one condition at the same time.

I can also surely say these two conditions (your cystitis and ovarian cyst) are not connected with each other.
I can also say it is NOT Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome since that is characterised by multiple(more than one cyst in the ovary) and also that condition is accompied by other symptoms such as having irregular menstrual cycles, acne, obesity and lotts of thick black hair growing in the body and face. Since you don't have these above mentioned symptoms, I'm guessing it isn't your condition.

It was just a simple cyst in an ovary. It is farily common.

Cysts usually are no big deal and are pretty common in ovaires. Most of the time they are not dangerous meaning they are usually benign. You do need to get it removed and sent it for a biopsy though just in case.
You should be very happy it was a cyst and not a tumor.

Sorry for braging but I am a medical student and when I am right about medical conditions and scenarios I get really excited

About your cystitis, you still need to see an urologist. Although ovarian cysts can also cause pain and the significant pain you might have felt could have been because of that.

But you still need to go and get a check up of all of your urinary tract, urinary bladder and kidney. You need to do an ultrasound. And you could also do an x-ray with barium contrast (check for kidney stones or any other conditions).

Chronic cystitis can cause serious complications/infections (including in kidneys) if left untreated and neglected.

Excuse my excitement about being right! I wish you well and don't worry too much.

May I also recommend taking multivitamins daily (especially vit.C it boosts your immunity and helps you fight infections easier) and drinking a lot of water.

Excuse my spelling if I made any mistakes I am not an American and I am also typing very quickly.

    All the best for you!

    UPDATE:
I paid a lot to see a private urologist who prescribed me to take nitrofuratin after I have sex. This has completely stopped the reoccurring infections!
However I still have pain in my urethra. I had a cystoscopy (incredibly painful for me-they put a camera up my urethra..)and my bladder looks fine, so now theyíre doing another MRI of my urethra. The last one made me faint, so Iím really not looking forward to this, but I need to know what is wrong with me/if anything is wrong.
So if you have reoccurant cystitis I highly suggest seeing a good private urologist and getting this long term, as and when, low dose, antibiotic prescription. It works.

EDIT: I just wanted to let future readers who are having similar issues know what happened for me.

So I went to see a private urologist who cost a few hundred and it was totally worth all the money! As I was expecting, he told me I needed to take an antibiotic after having sex from now on, and I haven't had cystitis since! I even take just a quarter of an antibiotic (as it does affect your gut but it's worth it to not have the pain) now and it still works. The antibiotic is called NITROFURATIN. And it's saved my life.

I also had several procedures for them to look into my urethral pain I was still having, which my guess would be from having cystitis for so many years and it screwing up my nerves.
They put a camera up my urethra while i was awake (pure torture) and put me under anesthesia to do the same deeper (terrifying). I also had several mri's while this was happening and fainted twice from having drips put in me.
The conclusion was to put me on AMITRIPTYLINE to numb the pain somewhat. It made me extremely sleepy at first but now I take 3 a night and I'm ok. This has however possibly led to me getting migraines again (I had been a sufferer a few years back) so I had to see a specialist for that and eventualllyyyyyy got on some pills that help stop them SUMATRIPTINE.

Overall though I am infinitely better. I can live! I would also add that making sure you get enough sleep, not taking drugs (big one here, defo no), limiting your alcohol intake/cigarettes, reducing your stress levels and going to the gym/exercise (defo do this one) help as well.

I hope I might have helped someone, cause it was a rough road for me that's for sure. Take care 😊🌈
