My friend wrote this

Her step dad wrote a post on facebook about covering wife up with a blanket.

So his step daughter wrote My mum is very lucky to have a man like you.

He replied She don't think so because she is used to it.

What does that mean?

Lay off facebook.......stay away from people that share their personal details to entire world.

I second this post.

It means don't worry about it.

It means dont take anything for granted.. like a caring husband/wife.

It means they are people who like to air their dirty blankets.

It means the daughter should probably stay out of the parent's marriage .

What does that mean?

It means her step-dad doesn't think her mom really appreciates the things that he does for her.

It also means that her step-dad might have a tendency to over-share with his step-daughter.

I feel it's implying that mum doesn't 'feel' that she is so 'lucky' to have a man like him.....

(she is used to it.. meaning it happens all the time.. where is the 'specialness'?).

Anyways.... no need to 'air' their life on FB.. as mentioned. Don't even go there.

He always posts about everything he does for her in the relationship. And all the time her children always say how lucky she is to have him.

To me its childish, he is just as bad as her for talking about his issue for everyone to see.

take care of family/relationship issues behind closed doors. nobody else needs to know.

He says he has told her how he feels but she doesn't listen. But he carries on doing nice things for her.

OP...what does this have to do with your life?

Because he always tells me about his problems. I keep advise him not to write stuff on Facebook. Trouble is her daughters always get involved with the arguments. I don't know what else to advise him.
