Should i ask her out?

A few days ago a meet this nice girl on facebook and since then we ve been talking. She has invited me for an event that will happen a month from now. Thing is, I would like to meet her before...like next weekend or something.

Do you guys think I should ask her out or it is too desperate?

We re both openly lesbians and I ve unwilling ended a 3 years relationship last month (she does not know that). Anyway, I feel like I AM really compatible with her and I don't feel it's just a rebound.
